Pier 21 reviews
20There are tours you can buy tickets for and museums you can buy tickets for at the pier. Also you have to pay for parking.
We didn't get to experience all of the places that Pier 21 had to offer so I can't comment too much. We were there for the Dolphin Watch excursion so we just walked around for a little bit to sight see. It was very clean and not as busy. Parking was $20 max but compare to other cities, it's not that bad for a day parking. The public bathroom was a little hard to find, but ask for direction and you'll get there. Plan for at least a day here with at least 2-3 activities if you want to make the best of your parking.
It was supposed to be about dolfins but never saw any but nice ride on boat and the employees made it worth it
Got to tour the Coast Guard Cutter Eagle. What an awesome opportunity!
You never know what cool ships might show up docked at Pier 21.
Parking is crazy expensive. Try to find a spot on/near the Strand and walk.
I Had the worst time here. I stopped by for the Mardi Gras celebration and I can just tell you it wasn't worth the $20 in parking they scammed out of my family. Seriously save your money and time and don't go here, you can go to Pleasure pier and have a nice picnic at the sea wall for a fraction than going to Galveston proper and all of these pier "attractions".
Interesting, not sure how to guide anyone about this place. I will tell you that Katie's Seafood House was very good,
This is ironic. I was in a boat in front of the restaurant fishing. Didn't catch anything - but: had I docked the boat and ate in the restaurant I would have had a great meal. I've eaten here before, the food is good.
Great place to shop, eat, do any local things in Galveston. Also great location for photos and you can dolphins following the ships if you look close
It's very expensive in my opinion, especially the museum, not worth it at all! The only thing we really liked was the 2 great pictures we got
I loved my time here. I went with my boyfriend and it was soooo nice out. Its really clean and just beautiful here. We listened to music on our phones and enjoyed the view.
Fun place to watch cruise ships and other marine interests from. No nearby restrooms, only drawback.
This is a nice waterfront entertainment and dining district that is located on Galveston’s harbor in the Historic Strand Seaport area. It features a variety of attractions, museums, restaurants, and the Harbor House Hotel and Marina. Several boat tours depart (jet-boat thrill rides, dolphin tours, sunset cruises) from Pier 21 and it offers a prime view of the Galveston Ship Channel.
Really cool place, the ocean, the people fishing and the smell of bait made we wish I had my fishing gear with me. Really clean and friendly vendors, wish had more time to explore. Next cruise, lol
The dolfine tour was canceled without notification and we went to the marina didn't even have signs to state that, very disappointed I was looking forward for this tour.
So much fun! Saw lots of dolphins and the water is so serene. Perfect boat ride! Steven and Austin were great tour guides.
Just reviewing the films. Skip the pirate flick. Too low budget to warrant a comment. The hurricane documentary is way better. Nice experience overall.
Come here first. They have all the information you will need. Take a dolphin tour. This is where you have access to a local and bring cash for tips. Visit the Alyssa.
We went on a dolphin tour. The guide spent almost all the time flirting with two college girls and very little talking about dolphins. The boat driver spent most of the trip complaining that he had been told to keep the rpms under 2000. After not doing his job for the hour we were out, the guide did ask for a tip. Did not think this was a worthwhile experience.
Where you at on the dolphin tour and it was very good the captain was entertaining and we did see plenty of dolphins although I thought it was a little over packed with people well they're trying to make
