Always love going to Mrs. Tosha for my son’s haircuts! He’s happy to go and even happier leaving because of his new cut! Everyone is warm and welcoming and it’s a nice place for kids.

We have a successful haircut every single time we visit the Highland Village location. The care & patience from the stylists is beyond amazing. Would highly recommend for your little one!

Tosha does an amazing job and she is so sweet with my son. She is wonderful at what she does.

Melissa did a wonderful job on my son’s hair! He was able to watch Toy Story and sit in a cool fire truck which helped to ease his nerves. The train table was also a big help as well. Melissa was extremely patient, kind and gentle with my son and gave him an excellent cut. We will definitely be back.

I normally don’t give bad reviews unless it was really that bad or I wouldn’t want others to feel the same. I experienced the most awkward service I’ve ever had with my biracial children. As soon as I walked in I noticed the front desk lady (not sure if she was the manager) get really nervous and uneasy. I sat down with my kids and waited for them to be called. The front desk lady quickly just gave me a brush and a detangling spray and told me to start untangling my daughter’s hair. Didn’t ask any questions or give any explanations on to why I needed to. In my mind I’m thinking “Am I not paying for you guys to do that? ” I have four children with biracial hair and I have never ever been asked to brush their her out at a salon. NEVER. I just found that really strange. My daughter’s hair is curly and she does have a lot of hair so I’m aware that her hair is different and that maybe not everyone has the experience with her hair. But it was not our first time here and my daughter has gotten her haircuts there since she was four and NEVER had issues. I still remember a white lady doing it in the past and turned out amazing and made us feel we could come back. I really thought we would have a nice service like past times and I only decided to come again because my kids loved that place. My major problem was that she quickly ordered me to brush her hair out not knowing firsthand in what condition it was. She kept insisting for me to brush it all out even though she gave me the wrong type of brush and it was only making it worse. All I needed was a trim and simple French braids like they’ve done in the past. She kept coming back and forth making comments about her hair and how long it would take them to cut it. I was feeling really uncomfortable and bad mainly for my daughter noticing something was wrong. Some of the moms and the front desk lady looking at us strange the whole time we were there. She definitely didn’t handle the situation well at all. I don’t think she was being intentional in being rude but she was pushing some buttons in making presumptions. I feel like every time she said something to make things better she kept digging a hole. I tried my best to bite my tongue to stay positive for my children but I was really furious in the way it was handled. I completely understand it takes experience and time with ethnic hair, but we had no problems before until now. At the end she turned their services down and she had one of the hairstylist talk to me instead of her. I can’t complain in Tosha or Maria they were extremely respectful and did their best in making the situation positive. But I will not bring my children back. I don’t think it’s a good place for biracial or ethnic hair. If in fact she’s the manager I really hope she learns how to talk to people or handle these types of situations better.

My 7 year old saw Tosha today, who was SO kind and helpful when I asked questions about maintaining her hair. When we left, the first thing my daughter said was, "Wow, Ms. Tosha was really nice! " She has new clients in us, for certain.
