Pigtails & Crewcuts: Haircuts for Kids - Southlake

Meghan readily agreed to give our son his first haircut (at nearly age 3) and handled a couple of anxious parents with grace and professionalism.

The shop was empty the day we went (a random Wednesday afternoon, I believe) so Meghan did a fantastic job of making our boy feel extra special and was biblically patient with his antics and requests.

We will definitely be back for future cuts and I wholeheartedly recommend this location!

Love this place. It can get very busy but it's worth the wait. The stylists are so friendly and always do a great job. My 7 year old son still only wants his hair done here.

I’ve been bringing my daughters here for years because it is less expensive than other kids’ hair salons in the area. For the most part we’ve been satisfied with the experience: basic cut, sometimes I have to clean up the cut a little at home, but you get what you pay for. Today, however, is last day we will come here. I noticed my 7 year old crying silently in her chair as Sandra pulled her tangles aggressively. About five people were waiting on her to finish, an unexpected rush I’m sure, but not an excuse to rush through this cut. Through her tears, my daughter said “It hurts, ” to which Sandra responded “Well, there are just so many tangles.do you brush her hair every day? ! ” I told her that indeed I do and she said “are you sure? ! ” I am not really a fan of 1. People making my kid cry; 2. People questioning me when one answer is sufficient; and 3. People not taking accountability for their actions. The fact is she was feeling rushed and was not careful with her actions. When called out on it, she took the low road and blamed me. This experience left a really bad taste in my mouth.

My daughter loves the experience and to me that is key. Knowledgeable staff who can offer suggestions on kinds of cuts.love the products yall use also.

I just took my 3 yr old son to this place and the lady has showed no patience to provide service. She may be forgot that she is cutting hair for toddler. My suggestion to owner is to make sure you are hiring right people who knows how to handle kids as you are running a place exclusively for kids hair cuts.

We drive here from Coppell to get our kids hair cut. Fast, friendly, and a superior kids haircut. They are great with kids and are reasonably priced. I can't recommend them high enough!

We have used their facility many times and have always been pleased. Kind staff, clean location, and patient people - given that you are working with kids and a haircut. Would recommend them to anyone.

It was my son’s first haircut. I knew nothing about toddler hair cuts and unfortunately wasn’t able to give much direction in that regard. Amber did SO great with our little guy and gave him the cutest hair cut! It also came complete with a photo and a tiny bag with hair clippings. Beyond impressed! We will definitely be back.

Were very rude when we were trying to come in and get feathers in our hair and said “they don’t know how to” when you work at a hair place and sell them you should be able to know how to do them it’s just very unprofessional

Showed them pictures of what I wanted. Both my sons had long hair and we asked for just a clean up for my younger son so the hair wouldn’t be in his eyes. For my older son we asked for a medium length and he had super full head of hair! If they couldn’t do the haircuts why do them? I could have went somewhere else. The hairdresser kept asking me and my husband about what which guard to use and how to cut their hair. I have no idea! You are the hairstylist why are you asking me wow ridiculous they just chopped up my kids hair and charge me $20 per kid terrible worst haircut ever. My husband had to fix their hair when we got home. Waste of time and money.

New owners, making positive changes to the salon! Will continue taking my children here for haircuts.

I absolutely love Pigtails & Crewcuts! The ladies are amazing and always do a great job cutting my son's hair.

Really great with my son. They gave him his first haircut and the woman who did it was extremely patient and did a really good job. They also offer adult cuts as well and they did a great job on my hair as well.

We’ve been coming here since the kiddos first cut and they love it. From their first cuts in the cute vehicles to now the big kid chairs playing video games. Fun atmosphere and a good cut.

I have waited for 11 days to hear back from the owner even after contacting corporate and was promised a call back. I got nothing. A very bad customer experience with the hairstylist who worked the closing shift at 5pm on January 14th, 2019. We signed in at 5pm. After the stylist finished with the current customer we were skipped. I questioned the stylist if there was a reason she bypassed us. She claimed she didn't know we were there and didn't seem to care. We got no apology, no explanation. The stylist made no eye contact or offered any other solution. We felt ignored and felt as though perhaps she didn't want us there. We left and she never tried to even stop us. We have been here twice before and had a great experience. After this experience we will NOT return to this location. We felt very insignificant and unwelcome. Due to the supposed rave reviews, we drove for over 20mins plus waited for over 30 mins and wasted our time. We eventually went to Snip-its Haircuts for Kids close by and got much better treatment and a phenomenally awesome haircut for our son. Not a good way to treat customers. Very, very disappointing.

Sometimes I love this place. I will find a stylist who is phenomenal and within a few weeks.a couple of months she will be gone working somewhere else.and I will try someone else and my sons hair will be butchered. It’s hit or miss.you may get a great great lady or you’ll get a person that will cut your kids hair in four minutes and they will be horrendous.she will dig into his scalp make him cry and then make you feel like it’s your fault. I don’t understand the turnaround of stylist at this location.
