I have been a member since 2017. I usually go to the PF on Westgate but since moving, I’m walking distance from this one by I-35. I quickly noticed not all PF are the same.

I find the structure of the environment quite alarming. For instance, bathrooms are not throughly clean. The walls have constantly have hair in them. Moldy residue on the all the shower heads and around the drainage area. The water smells awful along with the shower doors have slimy substance on them. And not to mention, I witness several times the maintenance staff just talking on the phone as “attempting” to clean. I have made it a point to bring my own all-purpose spray and cleaning towel.

I hate that I would rather drive few extra minutes to be comfortable when this one is only a few feet away.

Too many kids that just play around on the machines talking not giving other people a chance, especially the smith machine. Too much playing around that doesn't get addressed whatsoever

This gym has well-maintained equipment, and professional, friendly staff. The manager Rudy has always been courteous and helpful when I had questions. The people who come here also tend to be nice and very respectful. I’ve had no issues with anyone’s behavior here and the gym is a place to meet people. Also, I would say the massage chair and massage table are both good, too.

Still need to figure out all the machines but it was great. (: The guy at the front desk was a little sketchy and slightly rude though just to let yall know.

There is a girl and a boy are work there, I think they are very racist, they smile in some people's face and they don't even respond to hello when I tell them, the gym management should pay attention to this matter, racism is disgusting and causes a lot of bad reputation for the gym!

Mitchell was very helpful, patient and kind. The staff is all awesome here but wanted to pay him a special compliment for going above and beyond for me.

I think this planet fitness is the best in Austin I come here almost regularly and the staff are always nice the machines are always clean and the water is cold and refreshing. When ever I come to this planet fitness the temperature is cool and I like that since I walk to pf and it's always a good way to cool down.

That it's a No Judgment Zone, and I can come in and leave whenever I want without harassment. The extra amenities with the PF Black Card. That the staff is so helpful! And that the AC is excellent when working out!

I’ve been a club manager at multiple gyms over past 16 years. This place is great with the clean, friendly and well maintained. Staff is awesome. Keep up the great work.

The water tastes like paint thinner. You won't notice it at first but if you let it sit in your water bottle for half a day you should be able to tell the difference.

No trials before you sign up according to customer service rep. The 10/mo deal is contract and includes $80 in surcharges. The no contract deal includes around the same in charges and is 15/mo. You dont actually save money if account for surcharges and hidden fees, so whats the point? I assume most of their money comes from clients on autopay who never go to the gym.

Should we start paying extra for ac as well? Can't even workout comfortably with the heat inside, good thing the gym isn't full or it would be way worse. Seriously if you need more money to turn on ac just let us know, us who actually workout wouldn't mind paying a few extra bucks to workout comfortably with some Air Conditioning!

I have used multiple locations and have never had an experience like I had with Rudy at the William cannon location yesterday and today. Yesterday Rudy came up and tapped me while I was working out. First mistake, you don’t as a stranger touch someone while they are working out. Its horrible etiquette, and can lead to an injury. Rudy told me I was making too much noise with the plates on the machine, and let me know that he had been watching me, and it wasn’t the first machine that I had been too loud on. Ive worked out for over 20 years at several gyms and have never had someone tell me this, not to mention a stranger. When he walked away from me I watched him do the exact same thing with someone two machines away from me. As a new manager, I would suspect that there are several layers to your job, and I think its interesting that on Rudys first day he decided that the noise level needing to change was a priority. When I went to the gym today I complained to another employee and let her know that I wanted to speak with Rudys boss. Rudy came out of the office while I was speaking to her and I let him know that yesterdays treatment was harassment, unacceptable, and no one has ever approached me like the before. He immediately let me know that its not harassment, and that if no one has said anything in the past, then they are not doing there job. I told him I needed to speak to his boss, and he let me know that his boss would say the same thing. At this point the conversation had become heated enough that I felt like it was time for me to go. As I left Rudy let me know that, “this isn’t Golds”

Ive never had such a bad experience at any gym with any employee. The William cannon location has been my favorite for awhile, and Ive always been particularly impressed with the the cleanliness and management that has that has worked there. As a manager you should know the importance of a first impression and practice it at all times. This employee was extremely unprofessional to me, and basically let me know that things are gonna run different now that he’s here. He harassed me, and if he continues to do so, I will take this further.

Great gym, great local and staffs great too.gets a little packed for comfort at night but other than that this gyms my go to spot

I am very surprised with this gym. The staff care about their jobs. The place is the cleanest gym I’ve ever been in anywhere in the country and the environment is pretty decent… meaning the equipment, music and atmosphere for a Planet Fitness. I tried over several gyms when I moved here and liked this one the best. Super clean and the equipment is always working and maintained!
