I am a realtor. I used Ed Watkin's services because my buyer's lender recommended him. I was setting up everything for my buyer so that he didn't have to worry about it. My buyer paid for the structural engineer report on Tuesday 08/08/2023. My buyer called me today (08/14/23 @ 3: 15PM) asking if I had received the report. I said "no, you should have got it last week after paying. "

I texted Ed, today (08/14/23 @ 3: 20PM) following up, he asked me what my email was. I provided it to him. I did not get a confirmation on him receiving my email address.
I called him at 4: 35PM to ask and make sure all was good. He said "I'll send it when I'm in the office. " So, I am thinking.well, it's almost 5 and most normal businesses close at 5.so I asked "okay, you'll send it today? Around what time do you think? " and he abruptly cuts me off and says "around 6, Jesus" then hung up on me. VERY PROFESSIONAL ED! BRAVO.
I cannot believe he would speak to someone that way. I work for my buyer's, it is my job to make sure things get done in a timely and professional manner.
Why in the world was that report not sent last week after my buyer paid for it? I had heard he was "quirky" but honestly after seeing these other reviews. I would never use him or recommend him to anyone.

My realtor suggested Ed Watkins, and come to find out like most of the people in the reviews below. He said the foundation was perfect on a 24yr old house. Then proceeds to tell me there are spots in the house where there is over an inch difference in foundation height. To me, that is not "perfect" I would never describe that as "perfect. " Incredibly disappointed in myself for not reading company reviews before using him. He can keep his report and we are going to keep our money. Do yourself a favor and hire a different structural engineer.
