Plano Orthopedic Sports Medicine & Spine Center reviews
22Dr Barrington and his staff are the very best! I would recommend them to anyone who wants high quality care I am really happy with the result.
Dr. Evanson is incredible.after seeing five dr’s about my pain, he was able to figure out the actual diagnosis, a surgery plan, and the very specific physical therapy exercises to follow. He is very attentive to who you are, what kind of lifestyle you live, and your activity level. He can get you back to what you had to stop, for me it’s running 5ks and 1/2 marathons. His CT mapping system for surgery is out of this world and his medical team is available for any questions after surgery. I highly recommend Dr Evanson and his team, they will give your life back.
Amazing staff and facility! I was referred to Dr. Howard (I had many options but I decided to go with him) after being involved in a car accident. I was pleasantly surprised how nice he was, he explained what was going on with my wrist after performing X-rays, provided me with options. Gave me ample of time to ask questions and also ample to decide on method of treatment. I was at ease to have Dr. Howard perform my surgery and he and his staff were so kind throughout all of my visits.
I have been going here for approximately 10 years and always receive great care from the physicians I see.
I’ve spent a considerable amount of time at Plano Sports and Orthopedic offices and Dr. John Barrington has always spent all the time I needed to figure out the best course of action to go forward. He is more than caring and genuinely concerned for his patients welfare. I know he wants me to have the very best outcome and thoroughly explains all prognosis and procedures. I wouldn’t hesitate for a minute to use him in the future to help me navigate the pitfalls of being a lifelong athlete. He did both my total knee replacements and I wouldn’t trust anyone else! You need a microscope to find my scars!
Dr. Sanwoo continues to deliver the best treatment for his patients. Would definitely recommend him to others.
I was impressed with the facility getting me a quick appointment and the Doctor was very thorough and professional
My wife had surgery on Friday morning and we were told to call if there was a problem. My wife's nerve block did not work as planned. Dilaudid was given twice before we even left the surgery center, but I didn't catch on. The anesthesiologist answered the phone and was helpful but cannot do anything other than give advice. Plano Orthopedic's on-call physician did not return our call, period. Before operating, the doctor stated, call the ER if needed. So, I guess your only help on the weekend is the emergency room. We all know what that will cost. My wife toughed it out. I expect better service and access for what this cost. I am suspicious that they expect/get pain calls and do not return these calls on purpose. (Who is going to prescribe you more schedule 2 meds on the weekend? You need to have a plan.)
My recommendation is to have surgery before Friday to protect yourself from "good luck, it's the weekend". I would look around for better service. This place processes a lot of people and with all of that experience, there shouldn't be any problems. The anesthesiologist should have called the on-call physician as a back up plan. He also should have checked his work, before my wife left the surgery center.
Follow up: Attempted to contact Morgan Siren while onsite for follow up visit. Billing sent her a text message with our room number. No response.
I am a Registered Nurse and have had the pleasure of being treated by Dr. Barrington. My wife also had her hips replaced by him. He is an expert surgeon. He also has a wonderful, caring and knowledgeable staff.
My family has used multiple Doctors here at POSMC for multiple issues (knees, shoulder, ankle, elbow), and we have always received great care. They don't always push you towards surgery, but if it's necessary, this is a great team to have on your side!
With. Soccer kid and a boy, have visited multiple times over the years. Each time, we loved the care given! Dr. Dauber is the best though:)
I had a minor rotator cuff tear and Dr McGarry suggested Cortisone Shots but that did not work and then referred physio therapy even that did not help either. I have been with minor pain for last 12 months
My daughter went to see Dr. Crates at Plano Orthopedic recently. I was very impressed with the level of service we received by him and his staff.
Doctor told me my issue wasn't serious and to stretch it out. Two months later here I am in pain. Wouldn't dig deeper into what problem I was having with the muscles in my shoulders. DO NOT GO HERE
I went in for two different problems, and both times I had complete resolution. Can’t ask for more than that.
I go with my significant other to see Dr. Lund. Everything is pretty flawless and he is usually in and out in no time. One of the best ortho doctors in DFW.
I had unfortunate experience of dealing with this practice. 1- staff rude when I had to do follow-up. 2- I explained to Dr. McGarry I was in immense pain, level 10, due shoulder injury and that physics therapy had accomplished nothing. His response was a steroid shot that would not take effect 3days and he wanted more physical therapy. Then I was fast ushered to pay. I respect different doctors differ but following day I had to go to Urgent care and was given prescription muscle relaxer and a minor pain reliever. If this doctor would have listened could have save me pain and money. HORRIBLE PRACTICE HERE!
I only called to schedule an appointment. Granted, it was within 10 minutes of the office closing, this was the conversation;
PO: "Plano Orthopedics. "
Me: (Assuming that means, proceed.) "My name is Ryan and I am calling to see if I may schedule an appointment. "
PO: "We open at 8 am. " <end call>
Keep up the great work Plano Orthopedics!
Dr. Howard was amazing! His PA is so nice and knowledgeable. Surgery went fantastic! I couldn't be happier!
This establishment is too big and too busy to provide a quality service to its customers. People at the front desk are rude. They seem to have a bit of an attitude problem. And God forbid you have to get a hold of them for some reason. You will play phone tag all day long and nobody answers or returns your call. However, I saw Dr. John McGarry and he was awesome. I am not rating the doctor, I am rating the establishment.
