Plato's Closet reviews
16Found these really stylish pants. I was able to get them with the with the money I got from trading in my clothes.
Came in here with my girlfriend to browse for handbags and jackets (I've shopped here for years, I often buy boots from this location) and was treated like a regular thief. I hadn't even made it past the very first part of the store yet when the employees were asking me and my girlfriend if we were gonna pay for this and that, as though it's unusual to walk around holding in your hands the items you're interested in buying. I very clearly was not done shopping yet as I had seen maybe 5% of what was there and let them know that we weren't leaving yet (Who steals by blatantly holding in their hands the $2 necklace being stolen and walking out with the entire staff staring at you anyways?) but the way we were being treated put such a bad taste in my mouth that we decided we were done shopping there- tonight and in the future.
I bought some boots yesterday and while the cashier try to take the security device she broke the heel and did not say anything to me until I got home and realized she had broken the heel. Then I realized she made a surprised and scared face while taking the security device and now I know why. Very disappointed at this store and for her not tell me she had broke the heel. Will never go there again and for those that go you better check your items before going home
I love Playto’s Closet, I’ve been shopping there for over five years. I have never brought in clothes before so I didn’t realize I needed a bag for them. I had two pairs of pants and two polos all of which I had only tried on but failed to return in time to Amazon.
I just wanted some store credit, but I guess sending me down to Target to get a bag on a cold November day was more important than keeping their customers.
I go to this place a lot, in general it is clean, many quality brands you have to look for good prices although prices have risen lately (I think it is for Christmas) there are new and used clothes, some used clothes are expensive and some have damage, I think they don't review them thoroughly before setting the price so look carefully before paying. I recommend the store but check the clothes
When I went to pick up my clothes I saw an item of mine in a someone else’s bag. I told them about it, they went to look at the cameras but had to call whoever went through my items to “confirm”. Makes me wonder how often they misplace items especially with people who take in multiple bags. It could’ve been more items but when she showed what items they were taking they couldn’t unfold them. Would recommend the other 2 locations over this one:)
I went here to get some money for some brand clothes of mine and they were going to give me $24 in cash for clothes worth $400
Apparently no one knows how to answer the phone, I have been calling all day about my items since they decided to change their policy about picking up the next day.
This is my favorite SA location. Aways able to find good deals here. Checkout line is usually pretty slow but staff is always super friendly.
The employees are nice. But don't sell anything here. They'll give you barely any money then ask if you wanna donate the rest of the clothes so they can sell them without having to pay you.
I haven't felt this comfortable trying to sell clothes since I left Portland Oregon 10 years ago! Clothes shopping makes me nervous because I am not good at fashion, and I always feel judged for what I bring in to trade, but I didn't feel like that at all in this location. And wow, did they have plenty to choose from for me to trade for!
So incredibly lazy. I wasn't gone 15 minutes and they denied my things because they didn't even open the bags. 4 bags of double bagged clothes and a bag of shoes still in the shoe box that had Manolo's, Jimmy Choo, Michael Khors dresses with tags still on them.all because the bags had a faint smoke smell from transporting them in my father in laws vehicle. The clothes come from a smoke free home and were double bagged. So, I went home transfered the clothes and shoes to boxes, went to a different platos closet and they bought them.open the damn bags next time. They truly did not want to go through the amount of items I had.first time doing this.last time anyone I know visits this location.
Very cool place. Lots of options at great prices. The staff there is very cool too.
Thank you Toby!
Try Upscale Cheapskate they have better brands, sizes, selection and discounts. There are literally items from Walmart on the racks not far from their original price! Waited months to bring a few items in and was not made an offer. Good luck to y'all!
Don't bother trying to sell your clothes here. I've sold my clothes here before about 4 years ago with no problem. Just moved back and brought in a haul of never worn or only worn once really nice clothes and NOT ONE item was taken.without any reasonable explanation. Ultimately their loss but I was really dissappointed in their service. And the clothes I did see on display were not in good condition or "in style", looks like they seriously need to work on their inventory intake system.
Only 3 cause was harrased from people the store didn't want to buy from andtried to bulldog us outside to buy stuff.
