I DO Not recommend this place. Bad experience ever. There are many other better and good bike shops. Go other good bike shops. Customer service sucks here, return exchange policy absolutely sucks

Poor customer service, walkin no welcoming, then thenone whom tried to help states he has no clue on bikes he just works there wow like really. Then i tell him well i have a mountain bike already im looking for such and such and then he still offers me a mountain bike hmmm like nooo. Byeeeeee

Walked in to check out some entry level mountain bikes as we just moved to Austin Ranch and wanted to ride the local trails.
Gene took the time to show us a couple lower end models (Batch), explained the pros and cons of the bikes, then showed us an upgraded bike that was still around the same price point (Cannondale).
After checking fitment, even cutting the seat post down on one bike, we decided on the Cannondales.
The transaction couldn’t have been easier.
To top it all off Playtri offers discounts and complimentary service and an annual tune up with their bikes. The definitely earned my business.

Good selection. It's slightly smaller then the other Play Tris. James, the Manager is one of the nicest and informative people I've come across when it comes to my journey in to the Road world. Everytime I come in I learn something new. The shop guys are great as well.

Stop by and talk with the team about bicycles and they will help you service or purchase one. They have a decent variety of bicycles and gear and can get you whatever is not in store. I walked in for service, test rode another bicycle and ended up purchasing it right away. Thank you Gentlemen!

Caution to anyone shopping here. This Playtri on Windhaven in the Colony, Texas practices Price gouging, and price increases, after you are given a price. I found that Gene the owner is the type of retail owner that could careless if you come back and shop with him, at the final conversation with Gene I realized he needed the 150.00 extra money he was charging me on my bike vs, the amount I was given by James the manager of the store. Gene changed the 625.00 price to 775.00 on the bike he was selling, and I truly assume that he has major cash flow problems,
He did not need a repeat customer, as much as he needed 150.00. As I read all his reviews it’s common behavior by him, that it is all about the money. I feel so sorry for him.maybe he should set up a “Go Fund Me Account “ for his business. He’s under so much stress. Good luck to him

My gears got jammed real good, on the Windhaven hill by plano parkway. For PlayTri Cycling, worked it for me in minutes and supporting local riders was compensation enough. Really good folks over here. ‍️

The owner of Playtri located in The Colony, Texas is obviously strapped for cash. I spoke with Gene, the owner, explaining that his manager James had given me a written price for a bike, and when I came into his store to purchase the bike, James told me that the price on the bike actually went up $150.00 the day before he gave me the price in writing. I asked Gene to please honor the price I was given in writing by his manager. Although Gene did acknowledge to me that indeed he would be turning a profit, and not losing any money at the 625.00 price that I was given by James his store manager, he was still not willing to honor the original price that I was given in writing. Gene’s answer spoke volumes as to the fact he needed the extra 150.00 more than a loyal customer, which just leads me to believe he’s really desperate for money. I have never dealt with a colder person in any retail setting in my life. I started reading reviews by other customers, and I saw a common denominator in Gene, the reviews used words such as shady, unprofessional, rip-off, rude, after reading the reviews. I actually felt better knowing that I am not the only customer that has experienced horrible treatment by Gene and James. I will purchase the same bike from Richardson Bike Mart, where their business practices are extremely ethical and they are kind to their customers. I hope Gene finds lots of success in his business, but I do not see him achieving a life of significance by treating others the way he treated me. GOOD LUCK IN LIFE GENE!

Had a flat while cycling and had forgot to put my bag back on my bike after washing it. Swung by here and was hassled about not having a mask as though it never occurred to them that somebody out cycling wouldn't have a mask. Overpaid about $20 for a tire as it was sliced, but they did get me back on the road within about 20 minutes.

I just stopped here to pump air to fork suspension. No charge. Person who helped me even check online to see what should the psi be for my weight. Thanks.

Took my bike in, today. The young gentleman with black hair diagnosed my bike. Said it was one of the best bikes he's ever riden. Pumped air in my tires and adjusted the shifting. Awesome staff! Will be bringing my son's bike (Carrera- Kraken) to get it tuned.

James was so patient explaining to me the differences in all the bikes I was considering and helped me make the best choice. It took two trips into the store, but James was there to answer all of my questions and offered me test rides on all of the bikes I was interested in. I actually bought a bike that I had not considered because James suggested I try it because it would fit me better. He was absolutely right! Also, great service after the sale!

I purchased a bike from this shop but they didn’t have a compatible bike rack to take it with me. A representative removed the front tire and breaks. We worked together to secure it into the trunk of my car. When I rode the bike for the first time, the breaks completely came off during my ride. I’m definitely not mechanical. I took the bike back to the shop and they repaired the breaks as soon as I came in. I was relieved because the bike was not cheap. The repairs didn’t take too long and I was given a detailed explanation of the repairs that were needed along with any additional concerns the technician had regarding the bike. I’m on the road to good health again. Thank you Playtri cycling

I've been there a few times and every time they always fix my minor bike problems (backwheel, chain, etc.) within the hour. However, I recently got my bike seat cut down two inches, and they charged $16! One time though, they did fix my chain for free as it wasn't that big of problem

In a word, awesome. Went in 20 minutes before closing one night on a whim, and their mechanic was able to cut down the steering tube of a new bike frame on practically zero notice. Additionally, I'm new to building bikes and he was able to provide me with a lot of info and tips to help me continue to construct my bike. The staff are knowledgeable and the selection is great. In fact, I needed a specific piece for my bike, and they literally had it there by the following morning, absurd. All in all, I really like this shop.

Very knowledgeable and helpful! Fixed the problem with my bike on the spot and coached me on the best way to avoid issues in the future.
