Plowman Creek Park reviews
13Absolutely love Plowman Creek. We personally like sites 16 and above. The park is clean and beautiful views
Nice park. Play area for kids. The fishing is not bad. Southwest winds come straight in from the water. When the lake is over filled this park is quick to close.
I really enjoyed this campground and the staff. It’s a beautiful campground with a lot of trees. The bathrooms were clean and tidy. The only complaint is the roads being messed up.
Pretty nice campground. Pretty, green, water access, and the showers get warm. I had a nice site and really didn’t want to leave!
All tent sites are lakeside (riverside?). Camp hosts are helpful and friendly. Boat ramp available as well as plenty of fishing spots. Men's shower in back of park is currently broken but there's another available up front. Don't drink the water from the spigots, it's white and cloudy.
Staff/park host was rude to me and told me I had to leave the park yesterday. The park was near empty, no one was at the gate, so I entered after flashing my Lifetime Senior pass at the entrance. I was there to check out the camping spots for an upcoming trip.
I was sitting in my truck at one of the sites when the host pulled up. I got out of my truck and presented my federal lifetime pass and driver's license. Before I could explain anything, he starts telling me the park doesn't allow day use and that my Lifetime Senior Park Pass meant nothing. I tried to talk with him, but he was rude like he owned the park and I was trespassing. I left the park immediately, even though I really thought it was a federal park and I was within my rights to inspect the property and decided what site I really liked and what my 40ft motorhome would actually fit in.
I really hope someone in authority reads this and contacts me concerning the issue.
Very nice COE Park, fishing is good and plenty of wild life in the park. Must have reservations to use the park camp sites. Water and electric on most of the sites, but they are tent sites available at lower rates with water only.
There might be a train the rolls by every 15 mins from 10pm to 3 in the morning. Not sure about rv types, but made it hard to sleep in a tent. Nice park though, and beware of ant beds.
The main channel of the Brazos, lots of Deer.very friendly and informative host.good fishing.one of my favorite parks.
Nice park with good boat ramp. No day use only camping their restrooms pets must be on a leash and a playground for children
Really nice park and boat launch, staff is friendly, showers are hot, other people in the comments need to understand this is a campsite on a river there will be bugs in the summer and burrs in the grass. This isn’t a day spa go back to Dallas or sleep in a camper yuppies
Great place to camp an ride, just bring a noise maker for sleeping, several trains comes thru with in about 2 miles of the place in the night
They hadn’t mowed in such a long time the grass was up to our knees. One toilet wouldn’t flush and the other was leaking.
