Pluckers Wing Bar, San Marcos TX

If I could I would give 0 stars we waited over an hour for our order they ended up saying the order was just put in we walked out do not recommend server was Ashlyn

We were seated quickly, but when we got to our table the cushion on the bench was detached and I think that's a serious hazard. I have a broken toe and since the bench cushion kept flipping up I had to catch my fall on my bad toe. I ordered a $9 margarita and it wasn't blended all the way. It had chunks of ice and it truly wasn't worth the $9. The server was friendly, but did not seem to care about our concerns. The food was less than appetizing to be honest. I expected more. I also asked for no sugar and cinnamon on my sweet potato fries and was told it was an option to have them without it, but there was definitely sugar and cinnamon on my fries. The queso comes in a tiny bowl with a large bowl of broken chip crumbs. $70 plus tip for two people. Not impressed. I will not be eating here again.

Waited over 2 hours just to get my online order, they kept saying that kitchen was running behind.

While the quality of the food was good, they were out of some of the things we order but didn't tell us until 15 minutes or so after order was in. Then when we received our food some of the items which should had been on it were not. They later came back again and said they were out of those items as well. We were with a friend from out of state so they were not impressed because they had to pay for it.

Host said 30-45 minute wait which was perfectly fine with. It actually took over an hour to be seated and the host had to clean the table we were going to be seated at b/c no one else was going to do it (host was waiting for someone to do it so he could sit us.) Then waited over an hour for our food, (the manager stopped by our table apologizing for the wait) then we proceeded to wait another 20 minutes on top of the hour) while watching other people receive their food (people who were seated after us). Then, once we received the bill we noticed our free appetizer was being charged for (even after we showed the redeem code.) what was supposed to be an enjoyable dinner turned into a stressful meal… DO BETTER

I'm standing here.waiting for my pick up order. It is 8: 15, and quoted to be ready at 7: 37. Their excuse.there are a lot of pick up orders tonight. Well, probably shouldn't let so many people order at the same time. Very disappointing. You guys definitely need to get a better system down.

Good for groups! It was a sports wing atmosphere. We ordered the sampler appetizer platter. Great fried pickles and fried mac-n- cheese- (these are huge) Wasn't keen on the honey BBQ. My son got medium hot wings but he didn't feel they were hot at all. He had hot at another location and they were definitely. My grilled cheese and fries were cold and nothing special. Our waiter was attentive. It was packed and it took forever to get our food, but it was a good thing we had an appetizer.

Clean, good food, customer service was good, little loud had hard time hearing conversations with my table, otherwise overall excellent

Went here with my family because I was craving holy macaroni. We were on a wait so we went to the bar to grab a drink while we wait. It took 20 minutes for us to order them. The gentleman behind the bar walked past us a few times and didn’t even acknowledge us. Im a bartender, so I understand it gets busy, but a “be with you in a moment” would have sufficed. When we got seated, we ordered 2 orders of Holy Mac and only received one. I asked the waitress if I could get my wings breaded, she said no. Which, I’ve had them breaded at other locations but she was busy so I settled for boneless strips. Our food came out and everyone’s strips were cold and the sauce was dry from sitting in the window I figured. That was soon affirmed by the kitchen banging on the bell to get runners to come run their food. My mother in law had to get out of her seat to ask for the ranch we ordered. $250 for a huge mess. Pluckers used to be so good, Idk what happened. Super disappointing.

Fresh hot crispy sauced up wings, cold beer and the service is just right! Best wings are here at pluckers, personal fave is spice ranch and yummmmy

The food is the best for chicken in San Marcos (in my opinion). The service is pretty slow mostly because of the popularity and crowded location. Atmosphere is typical of a large sports bar.

How dare this restaurant put eight people especially two men that serve our country! They and their families squeezed in! Horrible!

Came here for my birthday and they did not disappoint as usual. The initial service was a little slow but otherwise, everything was spectacular!

It's been about five years since I've been to this Pluckers because of trash service. Five years later nothing has changed. It took almost two hours to get our food, the area we were sat in the AC wasn't working. When the food did come out it was cold. I will probably never go here again.

Food is always hit or miss at this location. Seems like they don't like to customize orders alot. The Pluckers in Selma is worth the extra 15 minute drive. But if we are in San Marcos, we will settle.

Wings were good. The maple chipolte was super good. This place is expensive but then again wings are always on the higher end of cost. They gave no price break on cost for ordering more wings until you hit 50 wings.

Either their water dispenser is dirty or they don’t clean out their ice maker because the water tastes absolutely horrible! How am I supposed to trust the plates and cooking utensils are sanitary if the water isn’t clean? Other members of my party also got the water and agreed.

Food was great, service was great, and the atmosphere was great! Will definitely go back there next time I am in the area!
