P.O.E.T.S. Restaurant, Corpus Christi TX

Attended a large Birthday party. We were seated in the back. Of course, the rest of the restaurant was packed. We still had great service. The food was very good. Everyone had something different & liked it. We had a very good time.

Was really busy that nite. Food was cold, looks like the green beans were open and then served without heating them up

Love the fresh Tortilla Strip Chips & salsa! Best refried beans I’ve ever had! Margaritas are quite tasty! Lots of good food on the menu.

I go to poets at least twice a week or more mainly to eat their taco salad in a shell. It is awesome. I always order extra meat and extra cheese with ranch dressing and their chips sauce. It is always fantastic.

We have been going for years and they never disappoint! Food and service are always great!

This restaurant serves a variety of cuisines making it ideal for groups with mixed cravings. I ate here with a group of friends so we were able to view an assortment of plates. I think the restaurant does a pretty decent job to cater to different tastes.
My only complaints are related to the pitcher of margaritas and the temperature in the restaurant. The pitcher was was way too sour and sugary. It’s possible I just received a bad batch, but I would think twice about opting for the pitcher over the slightly more expensive top shelf individual option.
While it was my first time at this restaurant, my friends had been here a number of times and said the warm temperate was common because of the location of the kitchen in the restaurant.

Good service and friendly staff always come by and check and see if you need anything everybody works together as a team food was very very good I highly recommend this place

The food is always great. The catfish is especially awesome. Don't forget the margaritas!

Great family favorite! This is where all servers need to go, to learn great customer service! The fajitas are good and the service is even better! Everyone is friendly and helpful! My five year old daughter, LOVES the flour tortillas! Thank you, Poets for great service and food!

We came here to eat after my father-in-laws service. Thank You for local businesses because they come to know you as family. They made us feel like family and so welcome! When we go back to Corpus Christi we will be back.

Relaxed atmosphere, great food, and outstanding service. We have been visiting POETS for about 40 years because they excel in service, food, value, and the ability to chill out with family.

Wasn't as good as it used to be. Worked there 30 years ago and food used to be excellent.establishment is kind of dirty, and the service wasn't the best. Decent, but not great

Girl rolling silverware was steady coughing with no mask on infront of employees as I sat and waited for my Togo order. No one told her anything

Always a great place to visit service and food is always excellent. Staff is above great, wait staff, cashiers, the people behind the grill. Cool! Cool! Cool. Love it here.

Came highly recommended by family and I can honestly say it did not disappoint. Had a large family for our table and we were well taken care of throughout. It would have been easy for our server and his support staff to have forgotten about us and allowed our drinks to be empty, gone without napkins or not have ensured our whole group was cared for, BUT that did not happen. All of our group was happy and I can say it is a location I would be comfortable returning to when I am in Corpus visiting family.
