Restaurant Polanquito reviews
16The food didn’t have a lot of flavor and the plate was pretty empty. They were selling dia de los muertos bread for $38
The place is excellent, the atmosphere pleasant.
The food is very delicious and excellent, this is the right place to bring your partner to enjoy this very tasty food.
Customer service: excellent
My first time there and the food, the service and the atmosphere was fantastic! Definitely will be going back again
Good service, horrible food. It's the most horrible food …The chilaquiles sauce had no flavor, chilaquiles chips were from a bag and the beans didn't taste like anything. I asked for medium eggs and they gave me hard ones.the most horrible food I've ever eaten in my life and super expensive at least it should have to be good. The picture look so much better online than the taste. Authentic in just looks not taste.
Incredible food and amazing service - every staff member was friendly and eager to serve.has become one of our go to sunday brunch spots
Today it's my turn to contribute my grain of sand, we visited the restaurant today morning with my daughters, my sister and her boyfriend. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice. But I think what we are all interested in is food. I proceeded to order the chicken enfrijoladas, my daughters one ordered green chilaquiles and another red chilaquiles, my sister ordered mole chilaquiles and her boyfriend green chilaquiles, and we all agreed on the same thing, the chicken needs seasoning, it has no flavor or taste.salt, it seems that they boiled it in water and they just crumbled it and served it in different dishes. At least they should put garlic salt on it so that it has some flavor. Like beans, they don't even taste like garlic. Stew at least one garlic and some guajillo chiles in butter and put the beans there to give them flavor. Personally, that would be the only thing I would recommend they change, better seasoning of the chicken and beans.
It is very casual, and the food is good. I had Enchiladas Suizas that were delicious. Other dishes ordered by our table were flautas, tacos, some wonderful guacamole, and a fish dish that looked excellent.
Excellent! Delicious bites transport me to my country. Exquisite pink mole, tortilla soup with authentic, delicate and satisfying flavor. Clean place, appropriate level of decoration.
One of the most authentic Mexican restaurants in Houston! We got the queso fundido, tacos al pastor, and churros for dessert. All excellent! Servers were very friendly and it was clean. Would definitely come back again!
It's truly bizarre how many positive reviews this restaurant has because it's so bad and always empty. We felt bad because they never have customers so we decided to try it. My party ordered several items and they were all cold and tasted shockingly bad. The beans and chicken were dry, and the tortillas were cold. We left without even eating half of what we ordered because the food was so bad. We also ordered lemonades to help beat the heat but it tasted like water with a drop of lemon. When I asked for some lemon or lime to fix the lemonade, I was provided with two extremely thin, tiny slices and was charged $2 for them! It wasn't nearly enough to give the water enough flavor. You also have to go up to the counter to ask for everything such as silverware, tortillas, salsa, and lime. For this price point, it's best to go to Flora, where you can get superb service, fresh ingredients in the delicious meals, amazing beverages, and hot tortillas made from scratch. For authentic breakfast and brunch, Cielito is the best in Houston. Don't waste your money here, you'll be heartbroken.
It's very bizarre how many positive reviews this restaurant has because it's all around shockingly bad and the few hours its open, there is rarely anyone there. My party ordered several items and everything tasted old and dry. It tasted like poorly reheated leftovers. We also ordered lemonades to help beat the heat, but it tasted like water with a few drops of lemon. When I asked for some lemon or lime to fix the lemonade, I was provided with two extremely thin and tiny slices and was charged $2 for them! It still wasn't enough to give the water enough flavor. For this price point, it's best to go to Flora, Cielito, or Pico's.
It’s my second time going there and I absolutely love it. Great authentic Mexican food specially breakfast. Love it and totally recommend
One of the most authentic Mexican restaurants in Houston! The food was excellent and the service was on point.
I have had breakfast here about 3 times, the last time I was disappointed. Chilaquiles with chicken, the chicken did not taste good and the sauce a bit salty. $26 USD for a plate of chilaquiles and a cup of pretty sweet coffee pot.
Nice little place if you want something different from the zillions of tex-mex restaurants around. I had the softshell crab tacos and they were delicious. Portion sizes are on the smaller size, so you may consider an appetizer.
The food is really good, simple yet sophisticated. The waiters are amicable, the outside look is not as appealing as the place really is.
