Pollo Campero, Houston TX

I guess they're trying to be like Pollo tropical from Florida. But Pollo tropical has a better recipe and gives you way more food for 8 dollars. And everything in Florida is more expensive so explain that. The one thing the do just like Pollo tropical is the drive thru lady acts like you're bothering her.

I came with my wife to eat here after a long time craving pollo campero. The cashier ask for my order I tell her and the transaction is complete. Afterwards I realize the tortillas weren’t included I understand it was my mistake but she could have gave me a pass since it was honest mistake. What worse afterwards they never tell me I would have to wait 15 minutes chicken breast while this is my half hour of lunch. I sit there and wait more then 15 minutes passed. Best they can tell me oh wait another 5 minutes. I go back and buy the tortillas and 2 breads since that’s actually what I wanted from my first order not even that they still charged me. After waiting and seeing everybody eat. I had to get up because I was planning dining in but couldn’t anymore told them I needed to take my food to go. I actually would have requested for a full refund but didn’t because I wouldn’t have another chance buy food somewhere else until I got home. Extremely disappointed all this could have been avoided with better communication skills.

As with everything, the prices have gone up. Plus, some of my favorite items on the menu have been discontinued. With all that being said, I still like their grilled chicken, rice, & beans!

This is my very first time at pollo campero. It has good flavor, grilled i liked better than fried. Fried was just too greasy for me. Fries were just too greasy as well. It is just not for me.

Grilled Chicken (less fat) done right. Different flavor than KFC. Check your order before you leave. Beans or salad or Cole Slaw.

This particular location I’ve only visited once. And will only visit once. I ordered grilled chicken only 2 wings and 2 breast…. The chicken did not have a good char and was not cooked all the way. The crust was flabby…And it lacked flavor. I had to put the chicken in the oven when I got home to continue cooking and had to add seasoning.

This is the 2nd time I did did order grill chicken and the served me fried. I repeated my orderd more than once to make sure I was well understood. Never going back. Check your orders before leaving the drive through

Some of the best chicken you will eat. The spices are unique and tasty. Make sure to put some lime on your chicken especially the fried.
