PoPo Family Restaurant reviews
17Stopped here during a trip across country after randomly seeing it on the map. Great service, excellent food, and definitely a very cozy place.
Good food and service, but a bit pricey for us! And I think it's ridiculous for a business to charge $1.99 just to bring out an empty plate to share a meal!
Kitchen was having issues. It was a long wait for the meals at all 5 tables. Diane did a great job at keeping it light.
Cold food, rotten food, bland food, drink after drink, cannot stress this enough, don't go here.
We went at the rong time, there was 50 people in there and serve was slow, not enough people working. Very slow, great food.
Love their pizza so good. My only problem is that they charge 10 dollars for a tiny salad.
We've been going here for years, but it's gone downhill. The portions are way smaller, and the food is not worth the price. There's also a noticeable sewage smell as you walk in. The best thing about the experience is the service.
We wanted to love it but the food was bad. Ordered fried shrimp plate and had to spit it out it was so off. Let server know.still had to pay full price for a meal that was literally toxic. Son ordered steak med rare came mid well. The server was attentive.
We have lived in this area and gone to Po-Po's since I was little. The food has always been outstanding. It is very unique, with all the plates on the walls. Was a bit concerned after seeing a few negative reviews, but my family went again last week for the first time in 3 years. As always the chicken fried ribeye was tender, crispy and delish. The mashed tators and homemade biscuits excellent. My son said his burger was the best he ever had (all the extra toppings are included), the onion rings crispy and yummy. Its still a great place to eat out in the Hill Country.
Their chicken fried steak is now half the size of what it use to be. Service was incredible, food was bland.
We were a group of 3, and each ordered different plates. Each loved every bite on their plates! Great place to stop if you live in the area or if you're headed somewhere on I-10. Old fashioned decor, comfortable seating and clean restrooms. Check em out!
First let me say Ryan, our waiter was AMAZING! When we get the chance to go back we will want Ryan again.
Food: so so good. Country cooking at its finest.
Biscuits and Cornbread, husband loved.
The whole staff was so friendly and welcoming.
I cant wait to go back!
Great place to enjoy breakfast.
