Port A Beachlodge, Port Aransas TX

I can only comment on the bar/restaurant. We walked the beach from our campground and this was a nice find along the way. Their breakfast is very good, along with the mimosas, they have a different special every day and we heard their pizzas are fantastic but we haven't yet tried one. All the bartenders were very friendly and attentive.

This is always my go-to place in Port A. Dive bar feel with good food, great service and amazing views of the Gulf. Rooms are clean but super bare-bones.

Didn’t stay but walked into eat and service was horrible. Waited what seemed like for ever to get waited on and then had to wait even longer to order food after our drinks arrived. Do not recommend to anyone! Families or groups should stay clear of the restaurant

Got some great food and a real good location right on the beach couldn't ask for more

We love this place! It would be REAL NICE if they updated their mattresses, pillows and towels. Don't be in a hurry to eat. They were under staffed when we were there. Food is good.

Great place, a bit hidden on the beach side when entering. Vintage atmosphere and current music favorites. Wonderful food. Friendly staff and owners. Pool looked inviting. Want to come for a weekend!

We ate breakfast after our run on the beach. Omelete was great! Coffee was surprisingly good. The view was the best.

These people are so friendly. We walked in a couple times and they treated us like family. Non-staying guest are welcome to eat here. Everything is great, no bad vibes. Walk away from the beach. Serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Great music. It's the vacation that never ends.

We have been going to dinner at The Beach Lodge for 30 years. This is the first time since Harvey and I’m so disappointed in the dinner menu. The used to have the BEST burgers, buns, fries, onion rings. Now they only offer pizza and boils. Neither was good. You need to go back to your roots! Great place to eat and drink beer!

I have always loved this place.weven have been coming here for over 6 years. This year, I have a service dog with me. All handlers, be ware. This esablishment is NOT service dog friendly and the ownership will happily and knowingly infringe upon your rights. I have been repeatedly denied access to the restaurant. I have been charged extra fees. Multiple ADA violations and they do not care. Just be wary when choosing a place to stay. Up until this year, I would happily recommend them for your vacation stay. After this year? I doubt I'll be back again.

A great place to stay. Took a while to get food and drinks, but worth the wait. When we needed something, the owner came in himself and took care of it! The housekeeping didn't seem to know answers to many questions, but it's cool, it really wasn't their job. Great experience. Will definitely go back there! I would recommend this place to anyone!

They need to put some money into repairing the stall showers in the rooms. The bottom of the showers are broken up and falling apart, there are even some mold issues. It has been neglected too long, and now it's to the point where the showers have to be completely replaced rather than repaired. That is my main issue with the rooms. The lodge is 53 years old and needs upgrades.

This review is one of the hardest I've ever written. There is a restaurant on sight with good food. The pizza is my favorite. The service from the ladies working there is outstanding. Very friendly and helpful. A little slow at times but your on an island so it's expected. The pool is not worth mentioning. The location of this hotel is outstanding. Walk about 50 yards to the beach.

Now let's talk about the rooms. It's by far the smallest room i have ever stayed in and I have stayed in several small rooms across Europe. For one person it works but i can't imagine bringing a spouse or girlfriend. The bed is extremely uncomfortable. I woke up every day with back pain. The TV and internet signal was so bad I gave up. The one positive is the AC worked great.

This hotel is a 1960s blast from the past. Despite all the negatives there is something about this hotel I liked. Maybe it's the nostalgia?

This review is for the restaurant only. Our family of 5 had a great experience! If you go into it knowing that its fried bar food then you wont be disappointed. They also have flavored teas that are really good and you cant beat the location! If you have high standards then don't bother but if you are reasonable then go enjoy! Its worth checking out and its supper convenient to hop on in while spending the day at the beach.

Breakfast was not good. When you add something to food you should have it on the menu for health reasons. Came for breakfast and the omelet was made of a eggy pancake batter. Edible but probably the worst omelet I have ever had and will mean consequences for blood sugar levels today. I wouldn’t eat it because of the carbs, but the biscuit was definitely day old. First time I have had a bad meal at Beach Lodge.

I love this resterant! But the food is nit consistant. They have a seafood boil that is either awesome or so-so. When it is good.it's amazing. But what we had last night had little flavor and was slightly over cooked. We choose this restaurant because there was an hour and a half wait elsewhere. But the slow service made up for the wait. We could have walked out on our bill several times while waiting for it and no one would have known. But, it's the only resterant on the beach and there is no better view than eating on the porch!

The only place in Port Aransas to grab a cheeseburger in Paradise and a ice cold beer also the only place in Port Aransas that I know of that you can see the beach that's on the beach.

I loved it here - the staff and other guest become family b4 u leave.but know this - it ain't a fancy place - it is low key but right on the beach with restaurant, swimming pool, alcohol and a jukebox.again if you want fancy, this ain't yore place.
