2According to the 4th amendment they can only stop you if they have a reason too. I have elderly parents who live in the Brownsville/Port Isabel area who have been stopped just for driving to get groceries. I’ve heard both Port Isabel Police and Cameron Sheriff have been stopping vehicles for no reason which is against the constitution. I live in a major city in Texas and police are only allowed to stop a vehicle for committing a traffic offense and only then can they ask what their business is. They can not stop you for just driving. Roadblocks are also illegal against Texas constitution.
Horrible service and no manners. Money hungry with disregard for public well being. Drivers beware of p.o. S, texas. Small deprived area between laguna vista and padre.
