Port Jefferson Outpost reviews
17We stopped in for breakfast and enjoyed our "home cooked" tasting meal. Nothing over the top fancy, just basic breakfast items. Quaint and tasty.
Best breakfast in town! Texas sized pancakes, crispy bacon, and piping hot coffee. Great gifts and souvenirs as well. It was early, so we didn't have ice cream, but they were well stocked with a large variety of Blue Bell Ice Cream! The staff was very friendly and engaging. Please visit these lovely folks when you're in Jefferson.
This place is well laid out and has a lot to offer for someone looking to get fudge, ice cream, teas, coffee, and other things. The tables were clean and the chairs were great quality and still looked new. The menu is limited and it is pretty pricey for what you get. I love the fact that it had thick sliced turkey on my sandwich but then it had cheap cheese on there. Let’s upgrade that plastic cheese to something else to reflect the price of the sandwich. There should be sides you can order like fries or fried pickles. If these are listed on the menu I totally missed them. I’m not a fan of ruffles or plain potato chips so even offering a side of potato salad would be nice. Also it should list that the sandwich is buttered. I would have opted out of this.
Stop by this place for lunch! The food is amazing I had the turkey and cheese melt my boyfriend had the BLT we topped it off with a hot fudge sundae.just delicious!
This is a great stop for breakfast and for tourists to shop. The prices are fantastic and the food is great.
They have all you can eat pancakes and lots of breakfast options as well as a very cute little shipping area with fun things for everyone.
Lunch special was 2 burgers, 2 drinks, chips for both and 2 cookies. It was AMAZING! GREAT staff and the gift shop had delicious canned foods to browse and buy. Like Muscadine Cider? They have it.
WOW.popped in for a quick lunch. Today's special.pork chop, brown gravy, mashed potatoes, side salad, and a slice of cake. Everything was amazing and tasted like home cooked comfort food. Hope we pass through here again.
This is an eclicyic small town with big city ambitions. Immaculately clean. People are friendly & welcoming. Their history is preserved, yet the people are so eager to talk about their town.
Love going here. Very friendly atmosphere, excellent iced coffee. Items for sale are just adorable. If you come to Jefferson, make sure this is one of your stops.
The food was good.
The service was good.
Everyone is always friendly.
We will be back.
Very good breakfast and lots of interesting things in the store including unique kitchen items.
This was our favorite breakfast stop for a long time, especially the western scramble. We ordered the same this last trip and got omelets that were not nearly as good as before. The purpose we believed of western scramble was everything you get with omelet but with scrambled eggs. Very disappointing and embarrassing after we bragged about it with our friends.
Love this store and restaurant! We had breakfast and it was AWESOME! Also, my sister cooks here. If you stop in and eat, and you like it, telll Jennifer how good it was, and that Tony says "HI".
Also, there was a TON of gift-y things and old things and new things and candy and home-canned jellies and vegetables and FUDGE! And an old.fashoned candy counter.well, just go in and see for yourself. You'll love it too.
Cute little store with specialty items and delicious ice cream!
Update: came back a year later and everything was still amazing. This time we had their specialty chocolates, delicious! The young man behind the counter (I believe his name is Braylon?) was so helpful and friendly!
We absolutely love Jefferson, and no trip is complete without a visit to the Jefferson Outpost. Best bunch of folks you could want to meet.
We eat breakfast here. Food is mostly good. Except the bacon. Terrible thin as paper bacon. Sausage grave excellent though. And the coffee is excellent.
We always stop in Jefferson while visiting family. And Port Jefferson Outpost is where we visit for quick, wholesome meals.
PROs: Nostalgia ambience. Friendly greetings and service. Besides the meals, sweets and 'pick-me' coffee this is a great place to purchase kitchenware and eclectic gifts, and a good array of homemade soap products.
Parking spots available. Indoor seatings. Tables and chairs are fairly maintained for cleaniness.
Thank you for being open during the holidays. God bless!
