We took a cruise on Royal Caribbean from Galveston, to Roatan Honduras, to Cozumel Mexico, to Costa Maya Mexico, and back to Galveston. It was a great trip! We made so many awesome memories. The port in Galveston was easy to navigate. The Royal Caribbean crew did a great job of helping thousands of people get checked in efficiently.

I just got back from a cruise with Carnival. We parked in Lot A. This was my second time parking in this lot and it has always been a smooth experience. Parking is a little expensive, but worth in my opinion. We have never had to wait more than 2 or 3 minutes for a shuttle, and the staff have always been very courteous. My complaint is with the ridiculously long lines for embarking and disembarking. While most of the employees are very helpful and polite, there were some that should put in for retirement. I have had better experiences at other ports.

Poorly planned harbor area … could be so much better with better connectivity throughout the bayside if they had a boardwalk of some sort. Also no connectivity with THE STRAND makes it worse. Poor planning Cruise terminal 1 and 2 is misplaced. Should be grouped tohether with the new terminal 3. Parking is a nuissance. Galveston hatbor chose to be mediocre here.

Parking not too far from the port. Can be congested easily if you arrive too early for your cruise.

First and last time parking at PoG. I don't like posting reviews, but had to on this trip.

I got on a shuttle in the afternoon, and the driver looked like he was asleep. After some silence, he suddenly starts talking, and makes a joke about "closing his eyes" for a while. It wasn't funny, but whatever, I courtesy-laugh, what do I care, I'm excited for my cruise. As we get closer to the terminal, the driver says something to me I can't understand (so noisy inside). I change seats to get closer, to hear what he has to say. All of a sudden he starts screaming at me at the top of his lungs! He starts blaming me and accusing me of ridiculous things for standing in the shuttle. I look around, there's no sign or anything about standing in the shuttle. There's something about not being over the Yellow line, which I was far from. But this dude, who looks like Sam Cassell's grandpa, keeps screaming at me all the way to the terminal. He's screaming loud, so I apologize profusely just to deescalate the situation. He finally stops the vehicle, opens the door, keeps yelling and belittling me. It was traumatic.

You certainly don't expect that when you're in relaxing cruise mode. Then, with one foot out the shuttle, this guy has the nerve to say, "have a nice cruise. " If any of my employees treated my customers that way, they'd be gone. Never using Port of Galveston shuttle again. Will never sail out of there again either.

Very nice and clean. Well maintained parking lots. The staffs are great. If you are in this area just go to this place, you can drive around and see beautiful cruises

I have parked at Port Parking for several years and this last trip Gino really went above and beyond to help me. The morning of boarding the ship, my car battery died and my car would not start. Gino himself came to the hotel himself to try to help me get it started and diagnose the problem, when we decided it needed a new battery he went ahead and took me to the port to board the ship so I would not be late, went and got me a new battery, checked my car in at port parking and had me ready to head home on my 9 hour trip back home when the ship made it back to port. I am beyond pleased with the service I have received in the past but this one takes the cake. Thank you again Gino!

Really nice port with horrible ground transportation issues. They have an exclusive agreement with Lyft for terminal pickup, and there's not a single rental car company in town that's actually open on Sundays when most cruise ships depart. I had multiple Lyft drivers accept my fare then immediately cancel it putting me at the end of the line. After 2 hours, I gave up and found an Uber.
Advice-Fix the ground transportation issues. Get some direct to airport shuttles (to both IAH and Hobby) and local car rental companies open when folks need them.

Easy to figure out where to go, staff was friendly, customs people friendly, quite relaxed in law enforcement…none of the vending machines will accept any payment but are plugged in and running.

Horrible service, very rapid unloading, then they put cars next to you. Then they are not helpful if you have any problems. They are training there employees to not assist with the customer if they have any problems

Called today to get assistance with my disabled veteran parking and Joe answered the phone. He was very patient and walked me through the entire process. Joe should teach classes on how to deal with the public over the phone. Excellent customer service. Thanks Joe!

Be aware that while this is garage parking, it is not guaranteed covered parking. We made our reservation weeks ahead and were still parked on the 3rd level fully exposed to the sun and weather. We saw other cruisers also confused by the lack of cover as they parked. We were told by an associate that garage parking does not mean covered parking. I just want others to understand what they may receive in a parking spot for the premium price as we made a faulty assumption that it would be covered. Otherwise it's close to the terminal but that sky bridge walkway you see going over the street from the garage is not functional. You must go to street level and cross Harborside. Good parking if you know what you are getting, I just wish it had been clearer about what I was booking.

This was our first time parking with the port my boyfriend & I usually park with EZ parking but I spoke with Larisha and she did some pretty good convincing. I absolutely loved my experience from the cruise to the customer service. Keep it up!

These guys are great. On 2/05/23 my wife and I left for a cruise and parked in Lot C. We were rushing to get boarded and in our haste I forgot to roll up the driver side window, but I didn't know it. When we returned on 2/12/23 the staff at the parking lot had seen that my window was down and with rain in the forecast covered my window with plastic and tape to prevent any rain from getting in the car. That was going above and beyond and I am so grateful for you going the extra mile. I am a very, very happy customer. Thank you so much.

There’s plenty of staff there to help in every possible way. Don’t get overwhelmed, it’ll all work out!

For the week of Dec 24th we booked a parking spot in the parking garage at the new Royal Caribbean terminal in Galveston. I booked the cover garage which is closer to the cruise (I think it is North). At the time I got to the parking garage, it was overbooked so there were not available parking spots in the cover area. As such, I had to park in a parking spot within the same garage, but with no cover for my vehicle. Long story short, a week after we came back from our trip, the parking company refunded me half of what I had paid. To my surprise, I hadn’t request the refund, they just processed it as a goodwill. Kudos to this company!
