Post Oak Grill reviews
15Went here for a large group in the party room. Everything I had, salad, entree, and dessert was excellent. The cocktails were great too. Really impressed with the service and the quality of the food and beverages! Will definitely be back to try more menu items!
My company hosted a dinner event in October 2022. The staff were extremely helpful from start to finish! Very courteous. The food was amazing! Highly recommend! We will definitely be going again!
Wonderful 1st visit here for Houston Restaurant Week. Delicious ravioli, flounder, dessert & bread basket! Service is impeccable, & the atmosphere is perfect. Will be back soon, thank you.
Always a good experience here at the post oak. Attend a happy hour here occasionally and the drinks are good and appetizers are very tasty. The only downside is the banquet room has acoustic issues. A group of 70+ people and it becomes so overwhelmingly loud that it is incredibly difficult to hear people standing right next to you. It forces everyone to talk even louder which makes the situation even more difficult. If they could work some acoustic tiles into the walls and ceiling this would be the perfect gathering place for a higher end cocktail party etc.
This was my 1st visit to the restaurant and I was working as a Photographer for the birthday party. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. I had a great experience there. I definitely recommend this place!
This is by far one of the best restaurants in Houston! If you love traditional customer service and great food you should definitely try this place.
The food at this restaurant is hands down delicious. The décor is slightly dated, but since this establishment has been around for awhile serving great food, it's forgivable. If you're looking to splurge a little for some awesome food, a nice quiet atmosphere, and some of the friendliest wait staff we've encountered, then give this place a try. We were not disappointed by our experience and loved the food, wine, and desert. The braised pork chop was delightful till the last bite.
Horror Valantine night on 02/14/2022. My reservation was at 8pm and we sat down 9: 30pm, they were behind with reservations and everyone wait over 1,5 hours for the table. 1 hour and 45min we waited for our food. We sat down at 9: 30pm and left at 00: 00 midnight, in that period of time I saw my waiter #1366-Jose only 3 times, we were basically ignored, not only me all other his 7 tables which I assume was his section. The restaurant has a great ambience and vibe, extreme bad service, food so-so and dessert was good.
Post Oak is a wonderful place to dine and have drinks. It is upscale, but feels relaxed. The food is high quality and the drinks are superb. The staff are friendly and accommodate special requests. They ensure that you have a good experience. I recently relocated from California to Tanglewood after living in California for many years. I now frequent Post Oak and give them nothing but accolades. The restaurant owner, Polo, runs a smooth operation. He also has great humor. Patricio is an amazing volunteer DOO.
Don’t come here for a busy day like Valentines Day! You would think it was their first holiday as a restaurant by the way it was handled.
I’m not one to leave negative reviews, but my (and many many others) experience yesterday felt like it needed to shared.
My wife and I waited 45 minutes past our reservation time to be seated and were actually pleasantly surprised due to the fact that there were over 20 other people waiting shoulder to shoulder in a very small lobby. Many of those people also had a reservation at the same time and some were even there before us. Those were the people that didn’t leave upon learning that their confirmed reservation was being scratched because they made it the day of or the day before and Post Oak Grill couldn’t honor it although the reservation went through or the people that saw the crowded mismanaged restaurant and left to eat elsewhere.
The woman working the front was nothing short of amazing and patient while receiving constant calls and consistent 20-30 people complaining to her for hours while they awaiting to be sat well over an hour after their “reservation.
It is extremely obvious that who ever own this place either isn’t present or doesn’t care. No manager or anyone ever said sorry or explained the situation that caused the mess for so many people.
Went out for a great night with family. I ordered a New York strip, and portion sizes are generous, taste was okay, not the best but good. Atmosphere was great, with a someone playing the piano during dinner service. The customer service is amazing and I will come back again soon.
Upon hearing great reviews about this place we made reservations for Valentine’s Day. When we arrived there was a line for people WITH reservations. We waited in line and then the hostess confirmed our reservation told us to wait and that she’s not sure how long before we would be seated. So I stood and waited shoulder to shoulder with all of the other people while in heels and pregnant for a hour and a half. I finally gave up and left. Valentine’s Day vibes ruined all other restaurants weren’t taking walk ins due to the holiday & were totally booked up. No manager apologized explained or anything. I called today 2/15 to ask if they are giving out any vouchers or accommodations for ruining Valentine’s Day & I was told “ no all restaurants are crazy on Valentine’s Day” I’ve never seen anything like it. Such horrible customer service. So unfortunate.
Very disappointing experience tonight. Understaffed, dirty tables, 15 minutes at the bar to get a drink with literally only two people standing there, all around sh*tshow.
Amazing service, great menu, and elegant ambience. Would recommend this for anybody wanting to have a fancy evening out and enjoy a great meal or drink with a friend, date, or family member. You won’t regret stopping by!
My family and I went here for Thanksgiving lunch. It was hands down the absolute worst dining experience I’ve ever had. The food was disgusting… it just wasn’t good. The service however was even worse than the food. We were basically ignored the entire time. I honestly wish I was exaggerating. Going here ruined our Thanksgiving. I will never be back, and I could never recommend this restaurant to anyone.
