If you just absolutely need a place to stay, fair price, sleep and go, this is your place. No breakfast, NO charger plugs for electronics. You can smell that at one time this was a smoking motel.

Hi there I will come on here to second the other “dog friendly” reviews. I have a couple of SERVICE ANIMALS with letter from my psychiatrist which i was showing proof of and was turned away. It is not my fault to struggle with mental disability and the fact that this hotel turned me away for needing an animal for assistance is disgusting. They were so rude and disrespectful that we had to call the cops and sadly nothing could be done because they are a “private business” but if you are living in America you should be able to bring your SERVICE DOGS into establishments with you. I have never faced discrimination over my dogs before until now. I am disgusted by the owners of this establishment. Please if you care about human and individual rights do not go to this hotel. They do not deserve great business and customers. I plan to have a conversation with the better business bureau as well after this incident.

I would give them a -5 if I could! For $100 a night we expected so much more! Very unfriendly staff!

We stopped here at 1: 30am, tired from the road trip and crushed for time but desperately in need of sleep. Online they say they’re dog friendly, but when we asked about dog fees they said no and turned us away because we have a dog with us. Since then we’ve been going down the outer road searching for anything dog-friendly, passing 8-10 deer. They were rude and useless. Trust the bad reviews.

VERY disappointed to see this current rate. I've stayed at this place a dozen times the last 20 years. Always clean and acceptable. Old building but perfectly fine. ALWAYS about $60. BEST value around there. NOW it's $100 a night? You gotta be out of your EVER loving MIND. Is inflation THAT bad nowadays?

Its a lie that has a breakfast, they say that is due coronavirus, but is the only hotel in town doing it, sometimes they ""forget"" to set the normal amount of soap and shampoo and the rooms smell a lot a cigarette

Very comfy bed, a/c was okay it was either to cold or to hot, well over it was an okay stay.

Just called to ask if he had rooms available, asked me what kind of room. I told him for one person, said no, has no rooms available at all. Not in a nice tone either. Ridiculously rude, yells and just an a.

We rented four rooms, two for three nights and two for one night. All of the rooms were very clean. Each had a television, refrigerator, microwave and a coffee maker. The hotel is located in close proximity to the downtown area of Brownwood/Early and close to shopping and many fine restaurants. The rooms were very quiet and the area appeared to be safe since there are many hotels in close proximity. This appears to be one of the older hotels in the area and is in need of modernization. However it appears that the owners are currently in the process of refurbishing. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. There were no unpleasant odors and no loud noises. This hotel is a bargain since the daily rates are only half of what one would pay at one of the larger, better known hotels such as a Holiday Inn or a Hilton. I will definitely stay here again next time I am in the area.

Stained sheets, bugs, roaches, huge spiders, room smelled. Check out was at 11am. Recieved a phone call from the lady at 1050 saying we had to check out now or she was calling the police.

Clean quiet and quant, just wish they had more to offer their guests than the basics but a good spot nonetheless.

Compared to some of the other places to stay, we felt this place was very clean. It might be older but the cost was about $40 cheaper.e

If I could give a negative star review, I would. The customer service was horrendous. I stepped into the room and was taken aback by the smell. However, considering I had already made the drive to the hotel and did not want to drive back I checked the bed. There were stains of different colors all over the bed. When i went to request a refund, I barely finished the sentence and the receptionist/manager whoever it was immediately berated me. He accused me of "messing up the room". He wouldn't even let me tell him that I wanted to inspect the bed before making my final decision. He threatened to call the police and when I told him to go ahead he refused to give me a refund until I deleted the pictures. His wife eventually came to the intercom and yelled at me as well. He told me to give him $10 so he could remake the bed. He threatened that he would not give me the refund until I gave him the $10. I should have called the cops myself, kept the pictures, and kept my $10.

We showed up for our reservation and there was no one there. We came back 2 times and no one was available. We has to go somewhere else. The next morning the owner calls my wife and cusses her out for not coming. He was very rude and unprofessional I would not recommend anyone having to deal with this man.

Pretty nice place to stay for the price. Room was clean. We had to pay a deposit (understandable) of $20.00. I was disappointed that they only changed our towels once in the 3 days we stayed. I figured it is because of COVID, but overall we were satisfied.

I have stayed here many times over the years. It is a great place to stay. It isn't the Hampton but it is clean maintained with no bug problems and the people are nice. It is a great place for a cheap rate.

"Essentials" is my nickname for this place. Has everything you need for a short stay and nothing else. Nothing fancy but a place to rest for the evening. No complaints from this stay.
