Prasek's Family Smokehouse reviews
15My wife described this place the best with "Imagine if Buc-Es and Bass Pro Shop had a baby". That's Prasek's in a nut shell. Very, very cool place. Huge selection of smoked meats, also nice BBQ restaurant and other Prasek's branded stuff. Also busy, but not crazy busy like Buc-Es
If you're passing by this place you might want to keep driving. Food was overpriced and subpar. I've had better brisket on an electric smoker. Barbecue sauce taste like Whataburger spicy ketchup. Portions are small (which wasn't that big a deal since the food wasn't that good). Place is extremely clean and very nice. Employees are as nice as can be. Walking from where you get your food to where you go eat is across the entire store which was a little weird. Had the food been better everything would have been okay.
Clean restrooms, delicious bakery goods especially love their sourdough bread, sausage rolls and kolaches.
Stopped for breakfast and got 3 people knocked off my Christmas shopping list. First time I ever been in there and it's a real cool place.
Wow! This place is like a candy store for adults. They have everything from meats; jerky; wine; bbq; furniture; home and decor, Women’s and men’s clothing, hunting gear, a bakery, a gas station and convenience store food.
There’s plenty of parking.
Everything here is good.
Love the Kolache's. The meat counter is fantastic, service was great!
We had driven by before and finally decided to stop by this weekend. Bathrooms were clean and they had a great selection of food.
Sausage and cheese were quite nice. Gas prices were good and easy on and off I-10. PLUS No fighting the BUC-EES crowd!
They have very interesting things. You can furnish your outdoors entertainment. They also provide a great beverage bar.
Great place to stop on the highway between San Antonio and Houston. Has short order food and a place to sit and eat. Good restrooms and lots of snack items. We stop by on every trip we take from Austin to Houston.
Great stop on Interstate 10 in Sealy. New building. Clean restrooms and brisket was good and comparatively inexpensive. Giant selection of fresh jerky and other meats. Not as overpriced like other places. Will stop again.
Prasek's Family Smokehouse is a Texas institution, serving up authentic Lone Star State BBQ and smoked meats for over 100 years. With two locations in El Campo and Sealy, Prasek's is a must-visit for anyone looking for a truly Texan dining experience.
The menu at Prasek's is extensive, with something to please everyone. From classic BBQ staples like brisket, ribs, and sausage to more unique items like smoked turkey and wild boar, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The sides are just as delicious, with everything from mac and cheese and potato salad to collard greens and fried okra.
In addition to its restaurant, Prasek's also has a full-service meat market, where you can purchase all of your favorite smoked meats to take home and cook yourself. They also offer a variety of other products, including jerky, sausage, and seasonings.
If you're looking for a delicious and authentic Texas BBQ experience, be sure to check out Prasek's Family Smokehouse. You won't be disappointed!
Here are some of the things that I love about Prasek's:
The food is always delicious and fresh.
The staff is friendly and welcoming.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting.
There's something for everyone on the menu.
The prices are reasonable.
I highly recommend Prasek's to anyone looking for a great Texas BBQ experience.
This place is a big mess. We never got our food and they refused to refund us. If you insist on eating there, make sure you have your food before you pay.
Clean bathrooms! Nice place to stop for a quick rest. Lots of fun Texas-y stuff to buy if you’re driving through or need an easy hostess gift. Bakery section is amazing!
