Preferred Imaging / Akumin, Plano TX

Receptionist very accommodating is the only reason for 2 star instead of one. I called the day before to confirm my appointment. Was told it was for 2 different scans on same day. Then was told to make sure I drink 38 oz of water. Informed rexeptionist why was I not informed via email or text about drinking fluid? Upon arriving I was told that appointment is not for today but two days away. I was able to have one procedure but have to return for ct scan in two days.

DO NOT GO TO THE PLANO LOCATION. This is my third MRI at this location and there’s always an issue… Today I showed up 15 minutes early for my appointment and was told that some person before me got claustrophobia and it delayed everyone else. I explained that a phone call would’ve been nice since now I have to sit in the hot sun for 45 minutes minimum before I get into my appointment which is now delayed because of the person with claustrophobia.

Then the girl checking me in got snippy with me and told me she could reschedule me which is not convenient as well. Completely incompetent and unprofessional.

First impressions are so important. When my husband and i arrived to this location the front dest lady came outside with an attitude asking how may i help you. We were still by our vehicle, my husband told her he had an appointment and she asked him if he had filled out the paper work. He stated to her that he filled out forms on line for another location this, lady gave him a clipboard with more papers to fill out ans told him "just fill these out then walked back in. "Needless to say i had to stay outside to wait on him to get done.

I will never ever use this location. I called 20 times and every time one lady pick up and said can you hold and then hang up? I even try to make appointment but they are not helping anyway. Horrible service!

I had 3 MRIs there. It took 3 times to get it done. Finally got stuff for claustrophobia. Ruk and Brittany the MRIs techs where phenomenal and very understanding. If you have an MRI there make sure these 2 ladies are your techs and you sail thru with no problem. They are very compassionate and understanding. They will do everything they can to make you as comfortable as possible.

This place is a joke. I waited over an hour and 15 minutes with a full bladder to be seen by the sono tech and they were rude and didn’t seem to care at all. Avoid this place if at all possible. At the very least they should keep you updated WTH

Excellent experience. Came for an X-ray as a walk-in as they advised on the phone. Was done in no time. Amy was very friendly and courteous. She did my X-rays gently. Arrived at 11: 11 was done by 11: 41

Leah at the Plano location is wonderful and so knowledgeable. She made a potentially difficult situation very easy.

Don't come here I've been waitinv over an hour and pwople coming in and getting right out. Horrible service

I got here at 4: 15 fillout the paper 4: 23, Got here no waiting but they telling me I have to wait, 3 hours and half pass. I would not come back ever here
for any reason.i would not come back.even they pay million dollars. Dirty office and unorganized people.instead of fixing there machine during closing business, they doing it during patient be in the office. I would recommend to pay for imagining rather than come to this office.

I have only had wonderful experiences here. The office staff has been uber efficient in getting reports and necessary paperwork done and where it needs to be.
The technicians were friendly and kind and did a great job.
If I ever need imagining done again, I will be sure it's here!

Horrible place to take Xrays. I waited for 2 hours. I was told that it would be a 30 minute wait. I think my file was misplaced. Hopefully don't have to comeback anymore.

My experience wasn't bad. I went in for an MRI. I was told to be there 30 minutes before my scheduled appointment but I was about 15 minutes late. I filled out all the paperwork and was still on the MRI table at my scheduled time. Only reason for 4 instead of five stars is that the waiting room was full so there was nowhere to sit and nothing to lean against I had to stand in the middle of the room until they were ready for me.
