On every visit the ammount of time said for scans to take, you better triple that, and possibly multiple trips. Excesively time consuming, you might be better off driving a little farther you would probley get done in half the time at another location.

Never even received service. They had so many up front requirements to even getting a price. Why they need an order is beyond me to figure out what my price is based on my specific insurance plan Every other imaging center I called prior to this one was far more helpful in looking at the price associated with my insurance plan. Wouldn't give these guys my business based on the 1 minute call. You shouldn't either.

I have never had such a negative experience as I have had with attempting to get refunded for the amount you guys have overcharged me.for 2 imaging visits this year. I have patiently waited on the line for over 20 minutes on several occasions over the past 2 weeks and whenever I become the next caller in line the call either rolls over to another department which then kicks me back to the cue to start the 20 minute wait all over again, hang up, or roll over to someone who thinks they're being helpful by giving me another number to call for the refund, but it still sends me back to the original line I called. This has happened at least three times. Then there was a time when I spoke with someone who said the credit was being issued and it's now been over a week and the credit has yet to be issued. We are talking a $216 credit so I will sadly have to persist in trying to get my refund. Once this is situated, I will never use Akumin again, as it should not be this difficult to receive a refund. I'm typing this email while again waiting to speak with someone regarding my refund. And yes, I was again kicked out the cue after getting down to being the next caller. I've had imaging done her several times, but Never Again. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the office staff and technicians are fine, but this here experience has left a very bad taste. I rarely ever leave reviews.

Update: I've yet again been forwarded to someone who can't assist me with billing and have sent me on yet another wild goose chase for help. Hence, the reduction in stars

This place where do I begin. The girl who called to schedule my appointment was in a hurry and kept asking if I wanted just to call later. I called the next day to verify insurance no one answers the phone I finally punched in a random extension. They called back the next day saying they couldn’t verify insurance. My doctor had sent all the information. They told me to arrive at 11: 45 which I did and filled out minimal paperwork and didn’t go back until 12: 35. I told them I had a pod on for my diabetes and was told to remove it because it would burn up. I was having an MRI on my foot. I get back their the machines had to be rebooted. Then the tech told me not to worry about anything chest above up because it was on my foot. So I wasted about $ 50 in diabetes. They don’t know what they are talking about. It isn’t safety it is lack of knowledge. I went at 11: 45 go out at 1: 45 waste of time the actual MRI took about 15 minutes.

The girls in back were stellar. Thats the only reason they got an extra star. Parking was bad, illegals left construction material everywhere, and their draconian (OCD) measures have now cost me over $200.

Horrible experience, people neither speak nor understand not even English, just simple human needs/feelings. Don't ever come near this place. I will be calling referring doctor, this place has to be put out of business at all means. Period.

A horrible organization, unfriendly staff. Not accommodating or flexible. Won’t allow a parent to stand outside the door when a child is having an X-ray. No sense of urgency in getting basic results to my doctor. Visited a few places around Dallas for X-rays, this is by far the worst place to go.

This place does not manage the billing and is done separately. I did a scan here and was on a payment plan. I finished all pending charges last month and they charged me again this month.

PS. Even before I knew I owed them or they made sure I got the letters they threatened to send me to collections. I had changed apartment. Email or call maybe?

Had a pretty terrible experience here. I arrived at the facility on time, filled out all my paperwork, paid, and waited 45 min in the lobby. I was called back only to be told I was being denied service until I could have a pregnancy test (since I’m not on birth control) even though I signed a waiver saying they are not responsible if I was pregnant.

This would have normally been frustrating but not major, except for the fact this was a Friday night appointment so both my general doctor or any lab that could have administered the test was closed until Monday. They really screwed me over. If they would have told me ahead of time I could be denied service without a pregnancy test, I could have gotten it done before arriving.

I got my money back and left. I won’t be returning. Not only was it embarrassing, but it was a waste of time and now I have to go through the scheduling process somewhere else. Avoid this place!

My experience with at this center is nothing less than awesome. I had no wait time, the tech was professional, kind, knowledgeable and efficient. I was able to set up a payment plan and the girls at the front desk were super sweet. The only thing that could have been better was I did have to have my doctor follow-up with them to get my report of my MRI sent. I would highly recommend this place!

No wonder this place only has 2 stars. The two uneducated girls up from only cared about goofing off instead of caring for the customer. The ct scan technician was very friendly. Interesting to see all the complaints about this place.

Preferred Imagining staff were awesome! They were able to get me in same day. When I arrived I was in immense pain (!) and could only be relieved by laying down. The staff understood and accommodated and allowed me to lay down in back area.even brought me a pillow. Great experience in my crisis scenario.

Terrible customer service and no concept of time. Was told about 7: 00pm appt.at 7: 50 still no progress! Why even have an appointment.

I don't understand the recent bad reviews. I called yesterday and made an appointment for the same day. I called my insurance company to verify they were in network and confirmed my co-pay. When I arrived at the clinic they already had approval from my insurance company. I paid the deductible then was issued a receipt and went on to have my MRI. I found the staff to be very friendly and knowledgeable. I would suggest paying prior to your service so there are no misunderstanding.

Friday, 10/14/2016, I accompanied my son to this facility. The staff was pleasant, I enjoyed the coffee but, I had an awesome experience with the tech. After the procedure, this man (in a very compassionate tone), spoke to me while my son dressed. He was so personable and yet, professional. I was so impressed, I had to get his name. It was Jeff M!

Make sure with your insurance company about prior authorization as you cant trust the staff here. We got a bill of $6000 for my husband's CT scan done here as they didn't do the prior authorization.

This is my second time here, both under stressful issues.
Everyone is so polite, caring, concerned.
Unfortunately I've been to a lot of Imaging Locations this is the best one hands down! From staff, decor, cleanliness, support and professionalism. If you need Imaging of any type, may I suggest Preferred Imaging Frisco. Have a Beautiful day!

These guys are Fraud.be alert. Try to find out good imaging center. I spoke with front desk and confirmed the price before the procedure. After the procedure was done, I got another bill for higher rate. Unimaginably higher. I called the billing department, I was never given straight answer. Absolutely these guys are fraud.

Office staff was given incorrect information by the insurance company. I wasted almost an hour on the phone with my insurance company because they would not let me leave or give me my MRI disk over $144 that I have an HRA account to cover. They made me feel like a criminal, I will NEVER go back there or recommend them to anyone.

I have had 6 MRI done at this facility and they are by far the best I've been to.clean.very nice people.techs are very courteous and helpful.their machine is also the biggest one I've been in which makes it a little easier to be in even though it's still tough.great people and place
