This is my experience with this place. They are friendly as long as they are taking your money, but they actually don't care one bit about anyone. So, here was my experience with them, which happened several years ago. I rented an apartment for my mother to move in December of 2017. I paid their $700 deposit, $1890x2 rent, and $1250 "community fee".

My mother was scheduled to move in around December 7th, so I moved her furniture in a few days before. Unfortunately the day before she was supposed to move in, my mother fell and suffered a head injury that caused her to be hospitalized. Within a few days, it was clear and I had a hospital note to give the apartment saying that my mother would not be able to take possession of the apartment. I moved all the furniture back out, but because I had moved furniture in, they had me. So I had to pay rent for December and January. I had also paid them a $1250 "community fee" on top of the rents and deposit that I asked to be returned since my mother never used the community.

The next few months was absolute hell with my mother's health going up and down. Preston Place will tell you that they have a waiting list, but somehow they could not relet the apartment until sometime in February. They, therefore, told me I owed them another $600+ for February. I told them they never refunded the community fee and to please just take it out of that so I don't have to deal with this right now. Instead of doing that, they charged me me late fees and penalties and raised what they claimed I owed them up to $1200 and kept the $1250 "community fee" too.

My mother died a few weeks later on March 18, by which date I was contacted by a collections company because these heartless money sucking people sent me to collections while I was trying to deal with my mother over a few hundred dollars even though I paid them $5,730 for an apartment my mother never lived to see.

It is 5 years later, I still hate them and I still have not paid them. I could afford to pay it, but I haven't just because their behavior was WRONG and horrible, but yes I have to deal with it on my credit.

I still have the collections people calling me asking for the full amount with the instructions from their client not to settle for less. They took thousands of dollars from me and milked the situation to the last possible drop. Heartless vampires.

Thank you for making the worst time of my life even worse and causing more stress and pain to the best of your ability. Don't think for a second that these people care about anything other than draining your wallet.

I just renewed my lease with Preston Place. I have so much respect for the management here and how we are treated like one big family. I now have more friends than I did from my home of 25 years. We are kept so busy with special events, I cannot attend everything that is offered in fun and entertainment. My apt.is so pretty and half what I would be paying at most places in the metroplex! What I am trying to say is, this is HOME!

Moving to Preston Place was the best decision! Friendly residents and staff. We have activities all day. So fun. The food is delicious, and served in 3 wonderful courses. Love living here.

My mother-in-law is a resident. She loves the community and has made many great friends who have been very helpful in her transition moving in. The management has been very responsive to any concerns and quick with any needed repairs. Kolton went out of his way to make sure my mother-in-law is well taken care of and happy with her apartment. My grandparents were former residents and they loved it as well. I highly recommend Preston Place to anyone looking for senior living.
