Primary Care El Paso reviews
15Very satisfied with the service from the front office until seeing the dr. Dr. Penaranda very detailed, professional and courteous. She reached every area I needed assistant with and gave me follow up referrals. Very happy with my first new patient appointment.
The care and attention I have received is excellent! Great medical knowledge, caring, and attentive to my needs. Staff is very helpful and the entire practice is well organized and efficient.
First appointment went well. Communication from clinic has been outstanding. I would like to see more flexible hours for lab services. I had to reschedule an appointment because I couldn't make it to the onsight lab due to work hours, and had to schedule labs on weekend at alternate location. This ended up pushing my follow up appointment back. Other than this I am very satisfied so far.
I am very happy with all the staff at Primary Care, they are always very kind and help me with everything I need. My doctor Peñaranda is the best, her care and treatment make my health better. I recommend that you go to this clinic.
The family care practitioners and staff have always been receptive and attentive to my health needs. The practitioners patiently listen to my concerns and have provided me with the best decisions for my health issues. I particularly like the fact that I can schedule appointments online but am still able to get a person on the phone when necessary. Everyone at this office is courteous and professional. I consider myself fortunate that Primary Care El Paso is near my home.
My recent experience was on the phone. Everything was very good: Amanda's attention, empathy and kindness are excellent. However, I must say that it is difficult to establish communication, particularly if one tries to talk after 10-11 am. It is very difficult for them to answer and although the answering machine says that they will return with one, that has not happened, at least in my case.
The messaging application is the same: you leave a message explaining the need and they neither answer the message nor speak.
Thank you very much for the opportunity and I hope you take my comments proactively.
Will not be returning to this office. I’ve been a patient for two years. I get all my annual check ups thru Dr Penaranda’s office. I was referred by a good friend and for once a year Dr visits maybe I would rate them two stars since the last two annual visits I’ve seen two different NPs and not the Dr.
My complaints are mostly with the front desk staff. First of all, they never ever answer the phone. I called three times today 8/31/23, no answer. I showed up to the office at 2: 50 p.m. Two front desk female staff were talking and laughing with each other. There was one couple in the waiting area. Surprisingly there were no phones ringing at all. Do they turn off the ringer? It doesn’t matter when I call morning or afternoon, it’s rare when they do answer my call.
Another thing, I was quoted the wrong out of pocket amount for semaglutide shots. Beware—- they are playing the high demand low supply game. And they require you to go into the office to get the shots because of the “program”. There is no weight loss “program”. I showed up 6 weeks starting 7/19 and they didn’t weigh me or if they did, they didn’t write it down on my chart that I saw. One of the weeks I showed up and they were out of the semaglutide shots even though I prepaid. There are other drs that charge less and you can administer the shots at home. They claim they can’t send the shots home with patients because of the pharmacy they use. There are other drs that will send the shots home with the patient. I’m really disappointed and upset that I’ll have to find another dr for my annual check ups.
Dr Penaranda is pleasant but the staff won't answer phones, won't return texts, won't return messages and won't answer emails
Overall it was okay, but for whatever reason they are terrible about answering the phone, I can not get ahold of them its a miracle when I do.
Great customer service. I drive 30 minutes to come to this place because it’s worth it. I feel cared for. Thank you all for what you do.
Excellent service and treatment by all staff, both administrative and medical. The place is highly recommended.
I made an appointment to see the Dr and was seen by the nurse practitioner. I was never told I would NOT be seeing the doctor. Front staff is nice but nurses are rude and not helpful.
Dr. Peñaranda is literally the BEST! She always makes me feel comfortable, listens carefully to all my concerns and finds a solution quick without feeling rushed. Amazing staff! Very welcoming, helpful, and a very happy atmosphere over all. I’m honestly super happy I found this clinic!
Staff was friendly and did a good job of following through with requests. Physician was great and very thorough. I was able to complete blood work at the clinic. Wait time was minimal.
Been here 3 times now. The first 2 times I was put in a room and forgotten about for 1 hour the 1st time the 2nd was 2hours and 10 min. When I went out of the room to see what was going on, I found that everyone except for 1 nurse/LNA was there but everyone else went to lunch, including my Dr. I was only waiting for a vitamin D shot (1st time) and then I was waiting on results from blood work (2nd time).
