Let me start off by saying Cody at Pro Star is outstanding. He helps me with any issues, or any type of equipment I need he knows his stuff! If you do business here go see CODY he's polite and honest. He knows what type of equipment you need for the job you're doing. I highly recommend this place!

One Star is way to generous for my experience today. I will give the company the chance to correct things and assume I was just dealing with a belligerent employee that today managed with his bad attitude and dishonesty to lose Pro Star all my future business.
The rental was a large dump trailer the heavy duty one. I picked up the trailer and was told it had electric breaks. This I thought was a good thing as my one ton Ram is equipped for just this and it has towed for over one hundred thousand miles.
On leaving the gate the first time I touched the breaks they locked solid and smoked the tires. I pulled off the road and re set the break controller to light electric, surprising for a heavy duty dump trailer.next time I touched the breaks, same thing smoke every where. I then adjusted the break controller to the absolute minimum, something I have never had to do before. I set the diesel exhaust break to try and avoid touching the breaks but unless loaded this trailer locked up every time.
I traveled a total of 120 miles and when I returned mentioned there was an issue with the breaks. They are electric they said you have to adjust them which I had but there was still an issue.
The response from the belligerent individual at the desk was I had to pay $195 for a new tire because there was a flat spot on the tire from locking the tires which the only way to avoid is not rent the trailer from Pro Star Rentals. I argued this was not fair and excessive since the tire was almost worn out any way but now he thinks he was doing me a favor only charging me for one tire. I will add although the trailer appears near new you could see from the lug nuts these wheels have been on and off a lot.the spare tire was also missing.
This trailer is dangerous. If someone rents this trailer and it is wet then there is a risk this trailer will jackknife causing a serious accident. So Pro Star you have been warned of a breaking issue on this trailer and if its involved in an accident you cant say you did not know because now its documented.
So trailer rental $124 dollars
Replacement tire to replace the worn out tire with a brand new one at my expense $195 dollars.
This kind of advertising for Pro Star Rentals priceless.
The importance of good employees to represent your company also priceless.
Home Depot recommended Pro Star to me because they did not have equipment I needed, so will make sure they know of my experience with Pro Star Rentals.
In future my rentals will be with Home depot or another Rental company.
I will also be contacting DOT and the Police because this issue is wrong.
A new tire wont fix the breaking issue.the breaks will not modulate they are on 100% as soon as they are activated.
So yes one star is excessive.
And Pro Star you have an employee that needs to be fired.
