Staff is knowledgeable, bilingual, and professional and both quick and efficient. Dr. Pruna has the best bedside manner, spends all the time you want and need to listen to you, and answers all your questions all while educating you on your symptoms, conditions, and walks you through how to treat them successfully. He provides extensive explanations and directions of do's and not to do's and why.
He follows up and provides your prognosis and diagnosis and treatment plan right there. He's very thorough and addresses all your issues at once rather than just what you originally came there for so that you don't need additional unnecessary visits. His staff and nurse have extensive medical training, education, and experience and are also bilingual. He has done house calls and hundreds of thousands of telemed visits for when you just don't have the time and are too sick to go to the office in person. Which is invaluable. He's been practicing for over 31 years and graduated from medical school twice with training and education both in Cuba and the United States, with over 17 years of education at the top of his field and class. He treats all conditions and patients from infants to the gereatric. Is board certified, and that is a must requirement in today's medical world. You do not want your health in the hands of just an MD. He is also an anesthesiologist and now practices Family Medicine and is a Great Primary Care physician treating infants, teenagers, adults, and elderly. There is nothing he doesn't treat. The spectrum is wide from colds, Covid, to Cancer and HIV. Psychiatric and depression to HBP and diabetes and every condition, viruses, and diseases in-between including STDs and gonicslogical issues and therapies.
He accepts all insurance as well as cash patients.
You couldn't ask for a more professional, more educated, and skilled doctor with an amazing bedside manner and answered all your questions so you understand everything before you leave his office.

I have never been one to go to doctors for the simple fact that I don't like to be used as a guinea pig. Since coming to Dr Pruna not once have I felt like he doesn't know what he's talking about he listens to my problems and he treats my problems with care and he explains medications and their effects and he takes the time to make sure that I understand what he's giving me and why I need to take certain things and that was the biggest thing that always affected me I didn't like to be used as a guinea pig and just try different medication which is a very big plus. I would recommend Dr pruner to anyone that is searching for a doctor that listens and that takes time and cares for his patients and with that I rate Dr pruna five stars and if it was more stars that I could give him I would give him 10 Stars because of the way he treats his patients and that's a big thing.

Excellent doctor. I actually moved from Dallas back to Austin, but still use Dr. Pruna as my primary doctor for non emergencies when I’m back in Dallas.

I am Brazilian and two months after my arrival here I had a very bad experience when looking for a doctor who could take care of my health. The impact of the first attempt was so strong that it was only now after a year that I had the courage to try to find a doctor again. I confess that I went to the doctor's office in fear of how I would be treated, but when I got there and saw the cleanliness of the place, the affection with which the doctor received his patients, the nurse's precise questions and the complete kindness with which I was received by the team, me made him jump out of there with happiness. I found the team to whom I confidently deliver my health care.

This doctor knows his stuff. I’ve had issues for two years now and have been to countless doctors and I believe this one has finally figured it out. I was told today that my case is very rare but he had done so much research on it prior today’s visit you’ld think he diagnosed my type of issues all the time. Amazing doctor! I’ve found my new PCP, thanks to Dr. Ernesto and his great staff!

Edit: it is extremely difficult to get anyone on the phone or return calls or emails. I have been waiting for meds to be called in for 4 days and still having to call daily to try to get it done. Very annoying. Good doctor but the office staff doesn’t seem to be too efficient.
