Public Storage, San Antonio TX

I appreciate the $1.00 for the 1st month. But when we can not get In touch with the people that are supposed to be working, it is disturbing to say the least. We were at the storage unit approximately at 9: 30 am. No one in the office, no one would answer the door bell. Does not say much for your service. Fred Bartell

When u call the number, all numbers go to a central call center customer service. 1 out of 5 today were absolutely awful. One lady even asked me who my mother was talking to, guess she could hear my mother on the phone and thought my mom was calling customer service as well, this lady demanded to know who my mom was talking to and I said that is none of your business. She said Yes it is my business and then we had a few words. Based on these alone I would have given Public storage in general NO stars if I could. However, the saving grace is Thelma, property manager. She is so sweet and professional. She has excellent people skills and is so helpful! Only because of her did I give it a 5 and would recommend to a friend!

I want to share this. Thelma made my experience so simple in getting me the storage unit I need it. At first, I wasn't going to because I didn't understand the contract. But she explained it to me in terms I could understand. Being this was my first time ever renting a storage unit. Thelma has been such an angel. I became my father’s caregiver last year and needed to move his belongings to a place nearby. She provided a lot of information, very kind and encouraging words during the stressful moves and great caring customer service.

Thelma was out standing in helping us get set up in such I time crunch. I would highly recommend going by and seeing her for any of her storage needs!

Update
Visited today 11/26 and had been working g with Thelma who was off, and Dezi was there. She not only was highly skilled to help me, but at the same time she was able to help THREE other customers all with different and difficult issues. She was a rock star today. This level of customer service should never be replaced by the bottom line, its just not worth it as a company competing for someone in the storage market.
