I used to get such great service from Dr. Marks, his Np and his staff. Unfortunately, the staff is not the same. I called to get an appointment and the person who answered the phone told me I could not get into see his Nurse practitioner without a referral. Even though my insurance does not require me to have a referral. More importantly, I have seen him and his nurse practitioner before on several occasions and they are now wanting a referral. I find it disappointing that I have to go waste time and money to go see someone again after two unresolved urgent care visits. As a result, I hope to find another specialist in the stone oak area.

My husband was a patient of Dr Marks and he loved him. His past visit the office staff scheduled him with the NP/PA (not sure what their title is) without informing my husband who he was seeing. He thought he was seeing Dr. Marks. When he got there the lady didn’t even see him for 5 minutes. Didn’t listen to his concerns. Said she couldn’t do anything for him without his surgical notes from his thoracic doc. LAUGHED at my husband when he asked a question about his symptoms. She did absolutely nothing and sent him away. This was after at least a year of not being able to get ahold of the office. Phone would ring and no one would answer. He would leave messages and not get a call back. So that last visit did it for him. He was done. He loved Dr Marks but everything else about the office was horrible. Front office lady who said she was also the office manager was rude and not helpful at all. We requested to put in a complaint to Dr Marks and never received a call back about it from him or the office staff. My husband thankfully found another pulmonologist that saw him a couple of weeks later and (without the surgery paperwork) he actually listened to my husband’s complaints and history. He expressed his concerns, ordered tests, and is actually helping my husband. Even this doc said that Dr Marks is just too busy and taking on too much at this point when we informed him of our issues with the office. Sad that such a great doc is standing behind such horrible office staff. At one point my husband even told Dr Marks that he could never get through to the office and Dr Marks agreed things have been busy so he gave him his cell phone number to reach him. Really disappointed.
