9 The best pupusas I've had so far in San Antonio. I'm Salvadoran and finding good pupusas in San Antonio has been a struggle. So glad I found this food truck. They take cash only. I got the pupusas reveltas and it was the perfect masa to filling ratio. The pupusas were a bit on the pricier side, I think I paid about $3.50 each. But worth it compared to the other pupusa places on SA. I will definitely be coming back!
Also, if you are in a rush to get your food, call ahead!
Pupusa's are great. El servicio es mejor. They took the time to individually label them. The curtido does have some spice, but the salsa does not. Great place to try, really impressed by the service. We will be back. Family was her from out of town and enjoyed as well.
The pupusas are amazing! Downside no card, cash only and who carries cash? Had to go across the street to cash some out. Does take a little longer than expected but it’s worth the flavor and quality.
Their pupusas are so good! Would definitely recommend! Loved the torta as well. Everything is so fresh.
Went there around 7: 30.it was close.it says its its open at 7pm area is kinda sketchy too
Thank God I found this place. My dad is from El Salvador and back in Chicago you can find papusas everywhere. There are few here in San Antonio but not that great.
These are amazing! My son loves the torta and quesadilla as well. But if you want authentic papusas definitely come here!

Authentic pupusas! You know its authentic Salvadoran food when the "hot sauce" isn't spicy at all but adds a nice tomatoey flavoring to the pupusas. Just a heads up, CASH ONLY so stop by an ATM before arriving.
I have been on a constant hunt for excellent pupusas since I moved to SA. Until today, I had been disappointed until I came to Pupusas Machado. They are made fresh with a generous portion of filling in the pupusas and the curtido is also very fresh! If you are looking for the best pupusas, this is the place to go!
Also, make sure to search the location with the address as the actual name does not take you to the right place as a heads up.
