Qing Ren, MD, San Marcos TX

I was referred to this office by my urologist. I waited weeks to get a phone call to set initial appointment as directed by my urologist. After a month of waiting to set my appointment, I called Dr Rens office myself. Monique was not available so I left a voicemail. Monique never returned my call. I called again. Monique informed me in an aggravated tone that it would be March (2022) before I could get an appointment. I asked why such a long wait, Monique again in an irritated tone informed me that she calls patients in the order that she receives them and the doctors are only in the office a few days out of the week and I would just have to wait. Needless to say, this interaction told me all I need to know about how seriously my health is to these so-called health care providers. The doctor might be good but if you can’t get an appointment, it doesn’t really matter. It should go without saying, but a patient calling a nephrologist is probably not well and possibly in pain. Too bad Monique shows no concern for the people who need a nephrologist

The staff and doctor ren are very nice. I went there for 2 years and have gotten very minimal answers. 2 years and not a single imaging was done, only labs. Doctor ren seems very knowledgeable but has a hard time explaining in terms I can understand. I don’t feel as if she did all the testing she could to find out what is wrong. I started w/ the same amount of answers I have 2 years later.

Dr REN is very thorough and professional. I highly recommend her. Each visit she completely reviews. Past and present tests to monitor trends in renal system.

Dr. Qing Ren has been my Nephrology specialist since 2015. She has monitored my hypertension and kidney functions during that time and my health has improved tremendously in that span.

She detected a problem with my parathyroids a year and a half ago; recommended me for surgery; found a great surgeon and now my PTH and calcium is normal.

I cannot imagine changing to another doctor for my health care and will always be grateful for her intelligence, concern, and attention to my needs.

I highly recommend her to anyone seeking top notch care in the field of Nephrology and/or Hypertension.

Dr Ren and her staff, Lorena, Kate and Monique, are great and have their patients well being a number one priority. I definitely recommend them. They will do what’s best for you.

I've been going to Dr Ren for several months and get excellent care. Dr ren is very careing, takes her time to explain things to me. The office staff are great, I would recommend this dr and staff to everyone.
