Quality Shoe Repair, Beaumont TX

I went in to see if they could reshape my leather purse that had gotten deformed during a move while it was in the cardboard box. The lady at the counter brought it to the back to the person who I assume does the repairs, and then she brought it back out to me and said there was nothing they could do. The lady then stated to me “he said to fill it with money”. I assume this means that I should stuff it with something to help it get it’s shape back, but they fact that the guy in the back said I should fill it with money was rude. It was insinuating that I was a rich person with my nice purse. The fact that the lady decided to repeat this to me after speaking him was even worse! Terrible customer service. Will NEVER come back here. I have a place in mid county that does repairs and they’re very good, and I’m willing to make that 30 minute drive to avoid these people.

I took my boots there for replacement of the soles on December 22nd. They told me they'd be ready February 3rd. 42 DAYS. YOU HAVE TO PAY IN ADVANCE. So on February 2nd I stopped by there to pick them up (My thoughts were they've had them 41 days, surely they are ready by now.) The owner waited on me. He asked my what my ticket said and I told him February 3rd. (by 5: 00 p.m.) He was looking at his record and knew that. He was schooling me. So he says they will not be ready until the 3rd. I said you've had them 41 days. He said "I have 500 pairs of shoes back there". So the next day, on the 3rd, my daughter was going to Beaumont so I asked her to pick up my boots. I called them as the receipt says to and, AGAIN, they won't be ready until 5. I told her if she was still in Beaumont that late to please pick them up (She had my ticket). I got a text at 4: 45 that they were ready.
I want to end this review by saying they appear to have done AN EXCELLENT JOB on the boots. They even put new liners in them and buffed them. Time will tell how good the repair is. I spent $119.00 for the soles. Checked where I purchased them after I left them for repair and a new pair was $119.00. They no longer carried the dark brown color my old boots are so I am ok with the repair. I won't go back. I hope the owners of those other 500 pairs of shoes fair a little better in how they are treated.

I've been to the cobbler for any and all shoe or leather repairs for thirty plus years. Excellent business!
