6Well-maintained and always hosting some sort of live music, this is a wonderful place to listen to local musicians perform.
My daughter just graduated from UTTyler and I loved the theater setup. Easy, convenient, and I would love to see one of the plays there.
Great place for a show, but no drinks allowed in the theater and no beer or wine was available for purchase in the lobby.
We attend the Symphony here and the acoustics are fantastic! Seats are very comfortable. Prices for performances are reasonable.
Saw Joel McHale in February 2023. He was fabulous. The Cowan Center is a nice building just wish tickets were more affordable. As a UTT graduate, I think they should offer discounts to students and employees. Maybe the McHale event wouldn't have been so empty then.
From children's feature/educational programs, symphonies, concerts, guest speakers, and so much more, my entire family grew up enjoying many of these shows at the UT Tyler Cowan Center. I am grateful Tyler has such a wonderful enclave for culture and community.
