Overall good food but lackluster service.
We really enjoyed the quail bites and lobster risotto. Of the cocktails, the hibiscus margarita was awesome. We also had the lamb, smoke jumper, and gin cocktails. Food was enjoyable but it seemed as though the waiter kept forgetting we were there, and we had long wait times to both order and recieve food. We also had multiple servers serving us, so we were unsure who to ask about our meal. Took about 2.5 hrs for dinner.

Food and service was incredible. Had the lobster risotto and my wife had the lamb ribeye. Both were amazing!

Only knock: if your eating outside, expect a roach or two to join you. We had several kamikaze from the tree onto our covering umbrella.and two onto our table. One ran around the brim of my risotto bowl. Bleh.

Was going to mention it to management but it was our anniversary and I didn't want to spoil the evening.

The best thing about the dinner was the valet, they were very prompt and courteous. Now to the meal not only did the waitress never refill the water and forget to bring us menu's but then ask us if we were ready to order but the best is a roach was about 6 inches away wanting to join our table. I stood up and grabbed my coat and when I asked if we could move to a new table there needed to be approval. I was told more than once that the building is 130 years old so i guess that is the reason that it should be OK to have roaches eat dinner with you. A manager never came to the table to talk to us but the did comp an appetizer. #thankswontbeback

One of the most amazing venues in the Houston area. The food was excellent the service was even better and the experience and atmosphere was pretty well everything else out of the water these guys are on top of their game with many many great options and pretty great pricing as well?

Really cool atmosphere and great game selection. They lose one star for price and an, at times, clashing TexMex twist on some of their dishes.

Amazing elegant place. There is always someone to help you pair your food and wine. Nice to bring your sweetheart.

My husband and I got married here 10 years ago and for us to come back and be available to celebrate our anniversary was amazing the staff and the food are one of the greatest in Houston. Highly recommend this place. I know we will be back!

We were at Rainbow Lodge Saturday evening for our annual family birthday dinner. We were in the Orvis room and had a wonderful time. The food was great, the service wonderful and atmosphere beautiful. I highly recommend.

I came here for the first time with my girlfriends for Restaurant Week on Labor Day weekend.

It’s a fine dining experience, however I’m not a fan of animal heads on the wall but I guess its name should’ve given me a clue. That aside, the service, food and cocktail were great. They also offered valet parking.

Very underwhelming. Atmosphere is great, food was mediocre- desert came to our table directly from the freezer (ice in the center of the Chocolate Raspberry Truffon Pinecone). Got poured a glass of port that was full of sediment. I have been there several times, tonight was likely the last. There are many great restaurants in Houston- this is unfortunately no longer one of them in my opinion. Don't waste your money here.

Came here with family for a late night dinner. Atmosphere very nice and I would've enjoyed outside dining with lights however we had no reservations but they still accommodated us.

We have just left following a last minute decision to go for brunch. One of the best decisions ever! I didn’t get photos of our mains (steak and eggs and wild game plate) because we demolished them within minutes. As a celiac the choices were amazing (both desserts featured were gluten free) and delicious. Our server Lauren was wonderful! She checked in but also gave us time as a couple to enjoy our meal. She was l extremely knowledgeable about the menu- a true asset to the team! We have already made reservations for their Christmas menu and cannot wait!

I hate being negative on a restaraunt in these times, but this is one of those things where you expect more for the price you pay. Presentation was a 3 of 5. Pretty normal presentation, but I would think they would go beyond for a $$$ restaurant. Fancy ingredients with underwhelming presentation and mediocre technique is just as bad, if not worse, than eating at tgif on their best day. The service was 4 of 5, but even with the announcement that it was our anniversary didn't really get their attention for detail in service. The food, and the most important part was a 3 out of 5. I had the elk chop that was more rare than medium rare and tough as could be. The enchiladas it was served with were cold and stuffed with what looked like meow mix. It was undesirable at best. Elk can be a bit tough as it's wild game, but the hnique and design were poorly thought out in this dish. My wife had the sampler and I would say that it was the best thing served. This just isn't the place I remember. You guys could push the boundaries so much more and serve much better food. Throw the dang enchiladas away until you decide to cook them. Overall, I would always try it again, but I would be hesitant. There are better places out there now and they better make some changes to keep up.

Took a weekend trip to Houston and made a reservation here. The wild game was delicious and unique. Atmosphere was cabin rustic yet elegant. Perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. We didn’t valet park since we were lucky enough to snag an open parking spot.

Great place for anniversary or lunch date. Beautiful scenery. Service is excellent and food is delicious. Try the hibiscus margaritas, tasty and refreshing! Plenty of vegetarian option.

This place was so delightful and delicious, it was my mom's birthday. Special thank to Rudy, or waiter for serving me and my family, big Party of 11. He made a way for our family to have a great time. We had so many questions, and he answered them all. Being so amazing, polite, wonderful, and sweet. I will definitely be coming back.
