Restaurant Rainforest Cafe reviews
17I took my family there to celebrate because my 3 year old has graduated from her therapists.so asked if it was possible for our table to be in the area that the Elephants were at.they did and She LOVED it
This rain forest cafe is extra special with the waterfall and eruption outside the building. There is also a little boat tour under the restaurant.
My grandkids 3 and 5 always love coming. The average meal is 20 dollars.
I was pleasantly surprised by the great burger (the meat was a good quality. Gf options for buns and pasta.
Nachos are huge, fajitas are also good.
They seem to have the face painting guy there and the balloon guy quite often.
It’s always very cold so bring a sweater or at least wear sleeves. The ride is a water boat ride that’s indoor. You do not get wet. It’s only about 10 mins at max. It floats you around so you can see the “ animal “. Kids love it. It’s a fun place. The “ thunder storm” inside happens ever 15 mins.
Excellent experience for my nephews, who have never been to rainforest Café. Not only was the experience great for them, but the food and service was excellent as well.
Their Python pasta is absolutely AMAZING! Highly recommend it and the Thunder/rainstorm effects are spectacular! (Don't recommend tho if you have epilepsy)
Food is delicious! The place is very nice to go with children and the service is very friendly, Jaime took care of us and recommended several delicious dishes:) We will be back!
I haven't been to Rainforest Cafe in years and it's just as I remembered! Food is good and consistent. This location was extremely crowded but they did a good job at getting everyone situated. The ride was a perfect addition to the restaurant. The kids loved it. We were disappointed that the "storm" wasn't working when we were there. Fun stop on our vacation!
Overall it was incredible and amazing. Very beautiful and will come again. The wait time is long and hard to get reservations, but that's to be expected. Service was awesome and great scenery. Food was good and decent prices.
Fun place for families, especially with small children. The whole place is decked out to look like the rainforest with animatronics and lights and a rainstorm every 30 minutes. HOWEVER, you are going to want to place a reservation.
We went around 1pm figuring we'd miss the bulk of the lunch rush. We were told there was a 1 & 1/2 hour wait time. About halfway through that they called our table so we head to the host booth and the hostess told us our name wasn't on her list. Checked our phone number and asked if we'd received a text. We had not. "If you haven't received a text, your table is not ready. " (That's the first time we'd heard that, and there was poor cell service in the restaurant.) "She just called our name" "You're not on the list. " "Can we wait here? " " No. You need to go back to the gift shop". There was no apology, no explanation of the mix up, no seats in the gift shop for our wait. It was crowded with people and merchandise and we felt in the way wherever we went. Finally around 3: 45 we received our text that the table was ready.
Our server was nice, and prompt to begin with, but didn't check on us often, or update us on when our order would be ready. Not poor service, but not anything that made up for a 2 hour wait, and a mix-up on behalf of the restaurant.
There was a balloon artist roaming around making fabulous creations for children, a talented charicature artist, and a man is a sequined jacket I suspect to be a singer stationed around the restaurant taking orders. The cafe also has a mascot that came around and greeted tables. Very cute and fun!
The food was better than I anticipated. I ordered the Adventure Appetizer that featured 4 different menu items to sample and split it with another member of my party and it was the perfect amount for the both of us. Another member of the party has a food allergy, and they had menu options available to them and could alter other dishes to accommodate. Then we ordered the volcano themed dessert for the table (ice cream and brownies stacked in a pyramid with a sparkler on top). VERY delicious, and the perfect end to our meal.
We finally made it out around 5pm. We felt much better about the experience after we had eaten, but we were getting hangry with the wait before. Again, I'd encourage any visitors to place a reservation ahead of time.
Went to rainforest cafe and had the best time, Carmen the manager was super friendly, also Jaime and Anton did a great job, love the atmosphere, definitely coming back to try more stuff from the menu!
I visited this restaurant on 4th of July and we went early when they first opened. I walked around the restaurant with my kids and this place is amazing! Omg, it’s sooo great! First time at this restaurant and I was blown away. My server was so professional and had out of this world customer service! We ordered the appetizer sampler, a huge cheeseburger, a sirloin steak, shrimp and a pizza. My burger was bigger than my entire head! All the food was hot and fresh…delicious! We ordered the volcano for desert, it was a very exciting dessert, I truly recommend it! Can’t wait to come back:)
A trip to Galveston is incomplete if you do not visit the Rainforest Cafe! We were in Galveston just for a day & a night and so glad we went to Rainforest Cafe. Amazing atmosphere inside the Cafe, you do really feel that you are in a Rainforest. They also dim the lights at intervals and have sound effects. It's an experience you should not miss. The service was good too. They had a long wait list though, which is understandable. Also, don't miss the Rainforest Adventure Ride. It is also worth every penny!
Everything was fine our server was İbrahim he took care of us very well. We got the best service from him. Manager Carmen also came to table and she make sure we had a best experience
Waitress was visibly annoyed and impatient and was clearly being fake, acting like she was patient and kind. Surely, they are used to tourists who have questions and need more time. The food reminds me of chilis, but with a high dollar price tag and was mediocre at best. You're literally paying for the experience. As for the experience, we loved it and the adventure ride is a must-see. We loved it.
This was our first time visiting the Rainforest Cafe since we were kids, and it was so fun! Everyone knows you don’t go for the food, but the food was better than I remember. And the things that make this restaurant so memorable are still just as enjoyable as an adult. I loved all the thunderstorms and seeing all the sparkling volcanoes served while we were there. We had some yummy drinks, too! And saving the best for last — our server, Tony, was awesome. He was so warm and welcoming, made great recommendations, and checked in with us often. He had a great attitude, and we loved chatting with him! We didn’t have a reservation, and a 2-hour wait is never fun, but Tony and the Rainforest Cafe made it totally worth it.
We came after getting off our cruise ship and it was a fun end to our vacation. The food was delicious, our waiter was so nice and friendly, we even got our picture taken with the frog! Great place for kids or big kids!
They stopped sitting people more than 2 hours before closing. If that's what they are going to do then they need to change there closing time.
