Range USA San Antonio reviews
15Great content and clear instructions from the certification instructor… Very simple, quick stress free.
Outstanding course, learned a lot of safety precautions. The instructor did a great job going over safety measures and how to safely handle and store a weapon.extremely useful information.
I went there yesterday! As a first timer, I can say it's pretty intimidating.you walk in and don't know what you're looking for other than protection for yourself!
The moment I walked in Charles W, an employee there, helped me right away. His demeanor, the way he spoke to me and how he was treating me gave me the boost I needed to continue with going through with my first time at a shooting range. He is without a doubt someone that just makes you feel at peace and so knowledgeable about weapons that it shows he's truly interested in helping you & not because it's his job, but because he genuinely wants to help you make the best decision for you.
I can definitely say I'll be going back to keep practicing and with someone like Charles W, I know I'll make the best decision when purchasing a weapon.
Thank you Charles! You are most definitely one of a kind! See ya soon!
Everyone that works there is beyond respectful, and always willing to help with any questions you may have.
Range masters are very knowledgeable and patient.
During our first visit all staff made my wife and I feel very comfortable and welcomed.
We will definitely continue to visit in the near future.
Had to get a refund because they do not honor the Brady law. Two many other places to shop for guns who will release gun after 30 days.
I went two consecutive days to the facilities in San Antonio and the person in charge denied me service twice because he required my immigration papers (He always behaved in a despotic manner). He didn't have the correct knowledge of what he really needed, he just insisted that I couldn’t use the facilities. I showed to him my passport, work visa, my Texas ID and i94 and nothing was useful because the guy in charge didn’t know exactly the requirements. Also, I paid for 2 boxes of bullets that I couldn't use in the end. Terrible experience
I'd go zero stars if I knew how. Just got out of the Army, came here to shoot to have a good time and you need a "friend" with you to even use the range. Nice business model. Call it "Range For Friends USA". Ok, it's policy but what are range safeties for then? Pointless to have them if there's no one there to see if the one shooting the firearm doesn't practice safe marksmanship rules. Make it make sense please.
Place is very clean and well put together but my only concern is the lack of staffing or poor customer service. I was standing there for 15 mins staring at the wall trying to see if I can get someone to ask me if I need help instead they just walk by and stare. It’s very possible the holiday weekend could have affected my experience here but business standpoint probably one of the busiest times of the year the place should be fully staffed and way more then 2 checkouts for customers
"Thanks in large part to Moses M, the sales clerk, I had an excellent experience at Range USA. His help was crucial while I was debating between the 5" and the 4.25" Springfield Prodigy 1911 DS (aka 2011 9mm). In addition to being kind and knowledgeable, Moses also had a great sense of humor. His professionalism never faltered, even in the face of a technical snag when the servers went down and the form submitting procedure was disrupted. He handled the matter with ease and effectiveness, maintaining a lighthearted atmosphere. His knowledge and friendly manner were what finally persuaded me to choose the 5" handgun version.
Really disappointed that my wife purchased the shotgun online. We went to the store to pick up the gun and the store employee wouldn't let us pick up the gun because my wife's driver's license address is in Houston. I work here and rent a house here. Maybe we feel discriminated against because I am Asian. My wife is an American citizen. Can't I buy it in a different city? I'd love to hear from their manager.
This is my fun place to shoot AND learn. The range safety officers are very educational and observant. Plus, it's hard to beat their prices. It's nearly always cheaper to buy from them than to buy online elsewhere and pay the FFL fee. Ralf is a very attentive and effective manager. Wanda and Lauren are always so pleasant to shop with.
Have yet to use the range, but I have all of my NFA items sent there. Employees are really nice and have been able to assist or answer any questions I have.
On 11/11/2023 I showed up to use the range and had a bad experience. I was a member of this range and payed a monthly membership fee. After 11/11/2023 I canceled my membership and will not be returning to this establishment.
First Time Ever Shooting A Handgun It Was A Great Experince. Friendly Staff And Place Was Clean Will Be Coming Back Soon
Got turned away for not having an empty open chamber shotgun on a sling. I was there to buy a gun case and was turned away despite the fact that I was there to buy a gun case. Apparently I'm not allowed to find the proper fitting case for my firearm. Turning away business must be very profitable.
