I've been coming to Raven Row since they opened in 2016, as a long time devotee of owner and stylist Raven Camacho. She knows her hair and has been one of two stylists in Austin that know how to handle, lighten, and style my thick dark South Asian hair! Over the years, the salon's friendly and welcoming atmosphere has consistently made me feel comfortable. I am always satisfied with my experience and highly recommend Raven Row to anyone looking for fabulous hair and fantastic service.

I’m sure there are some fine stylists here, but I’d urge anyone to spend their time& money someplace where you might find more kindness. A friend & I both had poor/negative experiences with raven row salon on different occasions.

It has been over a month since I got my curly cut with Vanessa, and I’m so happy with my haircut!

Before coming to Raven Row, most of my experiences at hair salons had been quite upsetting. Nobody seemed to know how to cut my hair. Stylists would give me a regular hair cut – washing my hair, combing and cutting it wet, and blow-drying it or leaving it half-dry, completely frizzy from being brushed and touched incessantly. I came out of those salons looking and feeling like a monster. I stopped going to salons altogether, and have asked my grandma to cut my hair for years.

A couple of months ago, I met a friend with the most beautiful curly hair, and immediately asked her where she got her haircut. When she recommended Vanessa, a curly hair specialist, I knew my life was about to turn a page. Vanessa is clearly immensely knowledgeable, with years of experience working with different curl types. She immediately diagnosed my hair (it loves to shrink and frizz) and was able to cut and style it beautifully. She answered all my questions and gave me tips for handling and styling my hair on my own. This was the first time I’ve walked out of a hair salon feeling like a princess. Highly recommend Raven Row and specifically Vanessa for your next curly cut!

Suni is amazing! I have curly/wavy hair and am always nervous trying a new stylist. They understood exactly what I was trying to describe and really brought it to life! Best haircut I've ever gotten!

Dani did such a great job with my hair! The price is well worth the experience she brought out curls in my hair I never knew I had nor seen before on myself. Dani was so helpful in letting me explain what I was looking for as well as explaining everything she was doing to my hair so that I understand how to recreate the same curls at home. She also answered any questions and gave me a much greater understand of to care for my hair. I would definitely recommend her to anyone but especially if you are like me and feel confused or lost about how to care for your curly hair.

Had a wonderful experience at Raven Row! Staff is so kind and make you feel like you’re getting a little spa day. Suni is an amazing hair stylist and does the best shags/mullets/dry cuts! They have cut my hair twice now and I’ve come out so happy about my look each time. Highly recommend getting a cut from Suni if you’re looking for something fun and fresh.

Edit: Still love this salon. Anna no longer works here so I was able to start seeing Michelle. I have never loved my hair this much. It's easier to style than ever before, and looks amazing.

I wanted to wait until I washed and styled at home, just to make sure. Came to Raven Row for the first time last week. I saw Anna, who listened to my long hair vs. Cut it all off dilemma. She recommended a happy medium, and I couldn't be happier. My hair looks better than ever. Anna was also very nice, personable, and I will be seeing her again.

Suni was awesome! I was looking for a new cut - she listened and made suggestions based on my lifestyle and hair type! Already scheduled to go back!

Vanessa is our girl. I scoured the area for curly specialists since there are very few in Austin and I stumbled upon her. We were looking for someone to give our 4 year old daughter her first ever curly cut and salon experience (y’all know first impressions count way more). It exceeded our expectations. She was warm, gentle and very knowledgeable. So much so that our daughter wanted to return for a haircut soon after our appointment just so she could repeat the experience. Vanessa gave me some good maintenance tips for between appointments that have really helped the overall health of her hair and since then, I have noticed a huge shift in her hair. She’ll be our curly specialist as long as we’re here in Austin.

I went to this salon for the first time today and had Suni as my hairdresser. They were fantastic! I chose this place and Suni due to all of the amazing reviews and I was not disappointed! They took the time to really understand what I wanted to do with my curly cut and the results were better than I could’ve imagined! Suni also walked me through how to take care and style my hair in a more personalized way. I couldn’t be more happy with the results!

Suni is an absolute artist. I usually go in with a few photos and a feeling and Suni translates that into magic. I told them that I wanted my hair to feel like a warm hug and they whipped up my color and turned my hair into a beautiful sunset. This time, I told them that I wanted a red/copper look with dimension and they DELIVERED. Raven Row as a whole is such a gem. It's an inclusive space and feels so relaxing. It's not a stressful, chaotic place. Everyone seems to really love working there and they really support each other. I love all of the plants everywhere and the small touches really make it feel special. The products that they use here are NEXT LEVEL and I always leave with something (I never feel pressured to!)

TL;DR: GO HERE.you won't regret it!

Vanessa is the curly cut queen! I'm so grateful I've finally found a stylist and salon that works with my natural hair and makes it look its best. I highly recommend Vanessa and Raven Row!

I’ve seen Vanessa a couple of times now and my curls are always so refreshed and defined when I leave. She really knows what she’s doing and would recommend her for a curly cut!

This was was lovely from arrival. I got a curly cut from Vanessa and it was the best looking haircut I've ever gotten.
