Real Real Jamaica reviews
19Wonderful down home cooking, the kind yer mama might make. Eating here after a night of too much rum is healing for body and soul. I'm not Jamaican so I can't comment on whether it's authentic or not, but something I do know is: It's good!
Real Real Jamaica was my first time trying Jamaican food. THE BEST! I would love to actually dine in to try what else is on the menu. I’m in love now!
I have never tried Jamaican food before so tell me how I was comforted by the flavors of their brown stew chicken plate. For the choice of sides: I am Latino and have tried many plantains from my own culture food and never really vibed with how sweet they can be. The plantains here are the perfect combo of sweetness and flavor and the rice and peas are oh so flavorful!
This is NOT JERK CHICKEN ITS BBQ worse Jamaican food I've EVER TASTED rice was dry no flavor gabbage was Good but I give this place 0 stars try Cool Runnings in Houston TX or Jamaican Cuisine in Jackson TN highly recommend them botH
If I could give it zero stars, I would. I paid $13 plus tax for a jerk chicken dinner. I got home, opened the plate? Two drumsticks over some dry, flavorless rice & peas. The cabbage was decent but. THIRTEEN dollars for two drumsticks?
Do not patronize this business. Go next door to the Gordo's taco truck: better pricing, better seasoned food, & WAY bigger portions.
Great Jamaican food! The server was very polite and friendly! I wish they weren’t out of callaloo but the jerk chicken was great and the plantains were delicious. I ate inside and the only complaint I have is that the music was a bit loud but other than that it was a great experience. Very reasonable prices for the quality and quantity. Food was fresh and tasty!
The service wasn’t bad and I received my food rather quick. The oxtails were just okay, nothing spectacular. My main issue with this place is I had hair at the bottom of my rice. Not sure if the cooks or servers are wearing hair nets, but I would recommend…
Don't Be Afraid give it a chance it's really good don't be afraid have a blessed day try something different you'd be surprised don't be afraid be kind to each other have a blessed day
Food was delicious. Had oxtail, jerk chicken and rice w sweet plaintains & everything came out amazing. Thank you!
Food was amazing. Service needs a little work, but no fuss. Once inside it has a great feel but I didn't dine in so can't speak totally on server or services.
If you want great Jerk Chicken, this is a perfect spot. The food is on point. The service is a little slow, but that is authentically Jamaica, if you've ever traveled there. For example, you may have to go back to the counter for extra napkins or another drink, etc. Here's a tip: if dining in, sit close to the counter, that way you are within reach. Loved the food! The vibe is definitely in line with Jamaican restaurants.
Ordered through Uber Eats. Holy Hell! It’s hot, Hot, HOT! But oh so delicious! — Got the jerked chicken with steams veggies, rice and peas and I was amazed at the flavor but then i pour some of that sweet and spicy sauce and damn my mouth is still on fire
My first time going and I was not disappointed. The food taste real real good, just like if you were in Jamaica, and the portions was just right! I will be back
I ordered Rasta Pasta & Oxtails. I’m pretty sure that they have a new chef because these oxtails are NOT the same. They were ok at best, really sweet. I like mine a little spicy, like the old chef made them. Also the steamed veggies were tasteless. The pasta was mid. Definately spicy but it also had no flavor. AND the service was HORRIBLE! It took an hr to get my food. Not sure why they fired their first crew BUT BRING THEM BACK! I will say the food looked good though.but looks can be deceiving.
The jerk chicken was so good! But a little less spicy it would be perfect I will have more
Jerk chicken and brown stew was dry, beef patties were pretty good. The price and the quality of the food didn't match
No one welcome you, the menu have the names of the plates how they call them on Jamaica, but understand we are in Texas and we are. Not familiar we the names of certain foods, so please explain every plate. Ill give this place another chance, also is a bit pricey
This was my husband and I first time dining here. And the food is excellent. Best we've had since visiting Jamaica.
Food was great. I had the brown steq fish it was delicious. Portions were large. Wait was too long.
