Mexican Restaurant Recuerdos reviews
201.) Enchiladas tasted like chili cheese dogs. 2.) They charge a 4% fee for using credit/debit cards. 3.) Margaritas way too sweet (too much mix). 4.) Tea too bold.had to water down.
Ordered food for the first time from Recuerdos thru DoorDash and omg it was DELICIOUS.also they packaged the food perfectly. Will definitely order again and plan to eat at the actual restaurant.
Small town food in a big city. Food was great. Had the Carne guisada and it was so tender. Rice was very good as well.
Delicious and filling breakfast plates! Seriously, bring your appetite! Such a cute little place right in the middle of downtown Round Rock.
We go here a lot because the food is always really good. It is a family-owned business and the staff is always very friendly. It is not a large restaurant (maybe 10 or 12 tables) and certainly isn't fancy. A true "hole in the wall" gem at downtown Round Rock.
My wife and I was heading back from vacation and wanted to stop for lunch and a break. I found this and decided to give it a try. Food was fast and hot, service was good as well.
Quaint, little restaurant for good, basic Tex-Mex food. The place is tiny so if you're hoping to dine-in, cross your fingers. If the day is nice, order some tacos or burritos and eat in the little park across the street. The chips they give you gratis with the salsa are excellent. My daughter almost got full just wiping out those chips. The tortilla for the tostada was comparatively plain so I just scraped the toppings onto the free chips and fed it to my daughter. I'm sure it made her tostada a lot less healthy but at least I also got the beans, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese in the little belly. Cost is reasonable and the food is good. It was an enjoyable breakfast stop after we got our donuts.
Definitely worth the stop. Service was great! Food was fresh, and flavorful. Special note on the chips and salsa, great!
Thank you.
Small and unassuming but so great! The enchiladas and salsa were incredible. The hot food was bubbly hot and the cold food was icy cold. Super sweet staff.
I had the special plate with cheese enchiladas. The food was fresh. The enchiladas were filled nicely. If you never been this is a small place. I was very pleased with the experience and will be back.
Chips and salsa was good, but that was it! I have never had food so bland. I had to ask for every single thing that I needed from water refill to more tortillas. I don’t understand how this place has kept in business.
Not a five star because it is a very small place with 8 - 10 tables.
The kitchen and bathroons are spotless.
In the middle of main street in Round Rock.
Very small. Food was authentic Tex Mex. Breakfast looked good.
Lime frozen margarita was good.
At the first glance, it looks really cozy, but when we entered the establishment we weren’t even greeted. My husband tried to ask a question and the lady didn’t even acknowledge him. She just turned away and continues walking. Then the waitress came in gave us the menus without giving us a minute to look at the menu to decide what we wanted she went to ask what we wanted. She acted very rude. All the time we were on their phone all the time. All the time we were there not even once the waitress came by to check on us on how we were doing or if we needed anything else. Very bad services. Never coming back.
Saw good reviews and wanted to check it out. As per a few other reviews I've noticed since then, the service was ok. My wife and I each ordered an entre and I ordered a beer. No problem. When the check came it was a hand written amount for $47.21. I walked to counter to ask for explanation. They looked on their computer POS (point of sale) and told me they accidentally charged me for 3 meals instead of two. I inquired why I received a non-detailed, hand written total when they had a computer system. I also inquired why was I not served 3 meals if the computer sent 3 meals to the kitchen to be prepared. It was explained to me that the kitchen just gets hand-written orders.
Maybe all of that is true. Maybe it was a mistake. Maybe they only use their computer system to total meals but not for anything else. OR. What I believe is that I was being scammed. I won't be back and I encourage everyone to match the price of their meals to their "hand written" receipts when they arrive.
GREAT RESTAURANT. Found out about this place from a Facebook ad. It did not disappoint. Excellent food and drinks
And the price was good as well. Looking forward to returning
Small little spot that we are glad we found. Owner was amazing and served the guests personally. Service was fast. Cheese dip and chips were great. The salsa was one of my wife and my favorites ever. Food was amazing and huge portions. We both left extremely full regretting not taking some as leftovers! I got the carne guisada which was phenomenal and my wife loved the enchiladas and tacos.
You start with some pretty amazing tortilla chips and salsa. The chips are really tasty. Add the queso for even more flavor. The food is very tasty and reasonably priced. The service was quick and friendly. My tea glass got no more than half empty before the waiter was refilling it. Several times. A nice little Texmex restaurant located in the downtown area.
Called for a ASAP order due family illness. They were great at putting together food fo 15. They accommodated my request fast and the food was very good. Support small businesses.
We found this place strolling through Round Rock downtown on a Saturday morning around 10am. We didn’t have to wait for a table. Restaurant is very family friendly. Staff was attentive. I ordered their Migas plates. It was everything I was craving for. Eggs and plenty of fried potatoes. My wife ordered their breakfast tacos and she said they were very flavorful. We were both filled with our meals and a desire to come back.
I would highly recommend this place to someone who is looking for tasty breakfast plates.
Recuerdos has been in this spot for many years. Just a small space, some would say "A hole in the wall" but the food is good the prices are reasonable and service is quick.
