Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews, Katy TX

It’s taken me some time to get to giving a review but here I am! I was planning a birthday gathering for my boyfriend, so I wanted things to be perfect. My boyfriend goes to Red Robin every year for his day, he’s a huge burger lover unlike myself. Therefore, without breaking tradition, I set up a table arrangement ahead of time. The manager Marlo, was very accommodating and personable when planning ahead for my seating arrangements, he’s why this establishment got three stars so GO MARLO. However, the other two stars are left off because James our server for my boyfriends birthday was horrible! He came off as nonchalant, leaning on chairs and breaking social distance code. He was subtly rude with a distasteful demeanor. Compared to the other servers, who seemed pleasant and in tune with the menu/environment, I was unsure on why they gave the responsibility of such a big party to such a lazy, un-engaged server. I was disappointed, James didn’t even try to make my boyfriends birthday special and we all know when it’s your birthday at a restaurant, the job of the server is to make you feel happy for deciding to celebrate your birthday there instead of somewhere else. If I would’ve known that Robin was going to have such bad service (and strict rules on distancing a party table further than necessary, though the caution is understandable) I would’ve simply chosen a different location.
