Reel Men Fishing Charters, Galveston TX

Captain Jonathan took me out on a foggy, rainy December 1 to scatter my husband’s ashes at sea. He was sweet and respectful, thanked me about 14 times for having the honor of participating, and gave me a little tour of the Bay afterward to lighten the mood. It turned out we shared a love of the Battleship Texas, which we passed in Drydock. I would absolutely book a fishing charter with him, too. Highly recommend Reel Men! Thank you for a memorable and sweet experience.

We had an amazing trip this weekend with captain Derek. The marina was nice, the boat was great and he was extremely kind, funny and knowledgeable. It didn't hurt that the 4 of us caught 12 bull red fish between 35-40 inches. Would certainly recommend this company and we will be returning for sure.

What a great group of guides, and admin! Booking with ReelMen was hassle free and they kept in communication leading all the way up to the trip. When we met up with Captain CJ we told him what we were really interested in catching and he took that and ran with it. Had a blast and used all of our Bull Red tags, Captain CJ was so passionate about fishing and it really showed throughout the entrie trip. Captain Derek gave us many great recipes to make with our fresh catch once we got back to the dock. We can't wait to get back out with these guys for the flounder run in a couple of weeks!

Reelmen fishing charters saved our day yesterday, our charter we had planned for called me 10 min before we got their saying his two boat blowed up that. Thanks for captain Derek for saving the day we Alii caught fish and he worked his butt off

We went with our whole family of 4 and had Captain John on Aug 3. We had never gone fishing on a boat before. I have a crazy 4 yr and 12yr. They both did absolutely amazing with him. He was so easy to work with and knew all the fish we had caught, including sharks! He was able to help catch SEVERAL FISH, Sharks and even a sting Ray! We saw dolphins and other types of ocean creatures! Even though I threw up from motion sickness (definitely recommend taking Medication before) he was accommodating for my needs. He moved us around to find perfect, comfortable, and busy fish spots. He helped with every bait, and obstacles we had. He kept us laughing with his jokes and his talks were just enjoyable. Made us feel safe and at home on the ocean. We are coming back every time we come to visit Galveston. I definitely recommend Cap. John!

The entire process was great. Booking was easy and they had great communication. We had Captain CJ and he was awesome! Extremely helpful and fun! He knows what he’s doing. We all caught fish and were able to keep alot! My oldest son hooked a 40lb! Reel Men Fishing Charters is now part of our yearly Galveston trip!

Captain Johnathan was amazing. It was my oldest’s first fishing trip, but everyone else had already been. Joked with us, gave pointers, was lively, helpful, on point, always ready to help. We will be back next year requesting him. Thank you we had a blast and my oldest gets to go home with one heck of a memory. Catching a 5 foot hammer head!

Had Captain Jonathon today, excellent experience and great guy. Reeled in fish and a few big sharks all day. We loved hanging out with Jonathon, great guy.

Captain Cory took me and my girls and boyfriend out to fish today. Not even 15 minutes after first cast we were winner, winner chicken dinner! He know we’re to take us and he also had a great and fun personality. I felt bad because he worked so hard in getting one of our baby sharks in that the shark ended up slapping him on the leg. But Captain Cory just shook it off and hooked us another one. We will definitely come back next year and hopefully we can get him as our guide. Thanks Captain Cory!

This was our first time to deep sea fish I wanna give a big thanks to Captain Burke he was awesome. My son is a beginner and was so good with him I would definitely book with Reel Men fishing charters again and I would recommend asking for Captain Burke he was fun and knowledgeable and really good kids with kids I would like to give him a big thank you my son had a blast and we will definitely be back.

So my family visited this great little coffee shop, the Seawall Coffee Company, Wednsday morning. (Fantastic coffee!) My husband was visiting with a gentlemen about fishing while we paid and the lady behind the counter says her sister has a charter service. She says they could probably take y'all out today even. We called and got a fishing trip scheduled for a few hours later. My husband went with our 2 teens and nephew and had a great time. They all 4 came back with great stories! This was my daughter's 1st guided fishing trip and CJ was great with her. Very helpful, kind and patient. They couldn't have had a better experience. Thanks CJ!

Meghan was very helpful and gladly booked us last minute on holiday weekend. We were a party of 6 and had a really great time with our captain Derek. From the music he played, his knowledge, and throughout the whole trip he made it enjoyable. This was my family's first time fishing on charter and we had such a great time.
