Reeves Art + Design (Houston Art Gallery) reviews
14I'm an OG. Reeves has been good to me ever since almost the beginning when they took me out of the knockdown grocery store and I used to help them move furniture for the tailgates or auctions. Reeves is my family forever. Never die
Awesome place to find wonderful pieces! Highly recommend. Matt, Hilary and the whole crew are the best!
The people here are very welcoming and helpful. I love the wide variety of content displayed. Some day I’m going to order a piece of the custom furniture. I feel so good after visiting here. It’s like a museum but you can take things home!
This gallery knowingly passed off a FAKE pastel by a famous artist and then asked me to get proof that is wasn't by the artist (which i did and actually got 4 opinions that said it was not by the artist). Not even the signature was right. If you don't know much about the art world, which i didn't until this incident, they have lots of ways to squirm out of having sold you a fake painting. This gallery was well versed in how to get around the fact that they had NO proof and did not check any information about a work before they "authenticated" it and sold it for more than even an original was worth. They provided NO proof that it was by the artist and it was kind of unbelievable how little they cared about their reputation. It was very obvious to me that they knew the work was a fake when they sold it. Fortunately I bought through 1stDibs who got me my money back after months of stalling. Hannah acted like I was rude for even questioning them as if they were above it all. She was extremely dismissive and unprofessional. I would NEVER buy from them! DO NOT! EVER! And if they are trying to resell you this pastel, RUN!
Enjoy the big variety and artist shows which change periodically to showcase many diverse artistic works
Matt and his knowledgeable staff oversee a huge inventory of quality art, sculpture and furnishings. It’s one stop shopping with something for everyone. Their new showcase space for artist “openings” and events is not to be missed!
Just what Houston needs! Incredible roster of local Houston artists; definitely a gallery worth visiting!
Loved coming here to peruse his great mcm finds. Now I love to visit and check out the art he's got up (especially when it's my son's)
Everything is so gorgeous or freaking cool in this store but my heart always breaks because I want it all and can not afford any of it, but that's just my personal problem.they are negotiable but I'm just a broke college gal at the moment.
I can't believe I never knew about this place before. They have such a wonderful collection of interesting art. Prices range quite a bit. Some of the pieces are very affordable.
The owner seems to be about 17 years old. I think they sold all the antiques in the attic. My horse died last week.
I had an amazing time perusing through Reeves. The staff is very knowledgeable and so friendly. I will definitely be back.
A store full of wonderful household decor. Perfect for your mid-century fixer. Lots of art therein. Negotiable on prices. All pieces are in very good (like new) condition, reupholstered, refreshed.
If you are looking for awesome mid-century design, art and glam, this is your place. Have never found anything better than this in Houston. Not the cheapest, but lots of great stuff. Worth taking a look!
