Regents West at 26th reviews
18Problems with the water bill higher than electric bill (almost $100 +/- on a studio apartment). We complained about it every month since August and up to now no one has given us an answer. My son's package was stolen inside the apartment building and no action was taken. Staff are very polite but it doesn't do any good on any issues. I finally wrote a formal letter instead of calling every month, they didn't even bother to respond.how frustrating.
I have loved living here! The staff is super attentive and friendly. I have lived at three different apartment complexes since I began attending UT, Regents West has been my favorite.
I’ve enjoyed living at Regents West on 26th so far! They are priced fairly, their management is quick and responsive in times of need, and they are nicely organized! I appreciate their care for amenities and public spaces! The free coffee machine is also amazing! Definitely recommend living here:)
Definitely one of the best valued apartments in all of west campus. Maintenance is super quick and they’re great people too. Management does there best and is always available to help. The walls and doors are sound proof and the apartment is overall high quality. This place is a better option than even the high end west campus apartments - I love living here!
Calling Regents West home was never a disappointment. The apartment building is always clean, maintenance requests are completed quickly, and there is a great community!
I’ve been living here for over a month now and have been enjoying it. Management and maintenance are generally friendly and responsive. The rooms are spacious and the pricing isn’t bad for what you get considering this is West Campus. I would recommend living here!
So fun to live here! Attentive management, clean apartment complex, and great prices. Favorite place in West Campus.
Currently on my second lease with this apartment. I live in a 5x2 unit with my friends. We have a great base rate and a good amount of space.
Pros:
- unit came with tv and bluetooth surround sound system
- maintenance comes within 1-2 days
- front office people are nice, responsive to emails, and hold on to packages for you
- great occasional events with free food (gelato, chick-fil-a, etc.)
- 642 route bus stop right in front of the building
Cons:
- our AC sometimes stops working
- there are 2 elevators, one at the front and one at the back. 1 of them is often down.it usually gets resolved within a day or 2 though
I really liked how spacious and large the bedrooms, bathrooms, and closets were as well as how big the windows were, letting in plenty of light. I haven't seen another apartment on west campus with such large rooms and high ceilings. The hallways, trash and recycling were always kept clean and orderly, and the maintenance was always incredibly fast when responding to a request. The events held in the lobby were cute and often had free food involved.
We did run into a number of issues while living here though. Our fridge stopped working halfway through the year, and although maintenance quickly came upon request, they only did a very temporary fix. We ended up having to request maintenance every week for our fridge, and they didn't find a permanent fix until a couple months later. The internet was so slow and Zoom lectures buffered so much we had to rely on hotspots a lot of the time, and the front desk/management weren't very responsive to questions.
Literally do not live here! The walls are paper thin to a point where i can hear the people above me walk and i hear the water pipes every other minute.the people in the office don't care about anything and they make it obvious until you complain about the same thing three times to which they also respond with lack of care and more annoyance.the front elevator is down every other day if not everyday, and the back elevator is somewhere in the parking lot (?) and it's terrible.there's always a party either in the lobby or the rooftop despite the hosts not living there and it's not controlled by the office at all? I'm glad to be getting out of here and i strongly recommend you find somewhere better!
+ the response being "we don't have a resident by this name" is even funnier, i had a legal name change a few months ago and notified the office but they said they didn't really need it changed in the system? And one of them took my new name saying they would make a note of it.lol.
Choosing a West Campus apartment is never easy for students and their families - even more so now with unprecedented demand in Austin overall! I want to call out Danielle Wolfe as the most amazing leasing agent and question-answerer ever! She has provided amazing service and support from the initial look around the properties (Regents West at 24th & Regents West at 26th) to lease signing and move-in planning. No matter the situation, having a kind, warm, and well-informed agent is what you're looking for. I couldn't recommend Regents West and Danielle more!
I LOVE living here. The rooms are so big and it doesn’t feel like you are crammed with a bunch of people in an apartment like other places in west campus. Maintenance is amazing and the ladies up in the front office are so nice! My only complaint is I wish they would have been more adamant about resigning… I only got one email about resigning and it was in October. Given that it is my fault I should have thought fast and made a decision, It wasn’t really on my mind to do that given I had just moved in a month and a half earlier. By the time I wanted to resign in January to stay here, they had already sold our apartment: (so sad! I guess I wish I would have gotten an email or call saying that someone was inquiring about our apartment or that there was little rooms left so if we wanted to we would need to do it fast. So take my advice and if you want to live here and stay, RESIGN QUICK. I will say that I called the nice ladies downstairs and asked if there was anyway we could stay and they offered us a really nice deal for a different floor plan… unfortunately my roommates already signed elsewhere so it was too late for us to do that. But other than all of that, great place! It’s nice and quiet, the only sound you will really here is the noise coming from West campus! Elevator breaks sometimes but that happens at every college apartment
Regents West is a great apartment in the West Campus area. The rooms are very spacious and they have a lot of different floor plans to choose from. The building is always very clean and the staff is super friendly and helpful. I love being able to use the amenities 24/7 and the rooftop has great views. The leasing office and maintenance staff are super responsive and efficient.
Elevator has been out all summer and through most of the year. Just expect that when you live here. Also expect smelly hallways, slow internet, and missing packages. Management simply doesn't care enough to update anyone.
Look at the accounts leaving the glowing 5 star reviews. Most of the accounts have one or two reviews. And the accounts with 2 reviews have reviewed regents at 26th and regents at 24th. Owned by the same company. These are shill reviews, likely by the employees being told to by their manager, or the management itself. This is a dishonest business practice and the only reason to do this would be to offset bad reviews. Will not be leasing from here. But don’t take my word. Click on the profile of some of those 5 star reviews. See what I see.
Was very pleased with my experience with Regents West - especially with Community Director, Maggie Gorton! She was extremely helpful and very polite and responsive. I would highly recommend renting from either of their locations!
I would like to share my appreciation for the excellent support for the residents by Mrs. Gorton and her amazing team. In the times of winter storm last month in the difficult situation with electricity and water in Austin the team from Mrs. Gorton informed the residents always with emailing. You knew everything is been done to keep everybodv safe and comfortable. It's the place you feel supported by the best team, Esther
Be careful! They structure the lease such that you can’t move-in until mid-month but you have to pay for the entire month. They won’t fix it afterwards so try not to sign until they make it right.
