Imagine being a 19 year old college student, and not knowing anything about cars.

I came into this shop with a coolant leak and the mechanic working the shift quoted me a brand new engine. $7000. So I went on my way, and obviously went to a new shop to get another opinion.

I took it to another shop, got a free diagnostic, and they told me a complete differed opinion of what I was just told. At this shop, I paid $440 for a repair for a temperature block in my car, that reliable automotive was trying to quote me at $7000 for, for a brand new engine… that was not needed…

Long story short: Do not go here.

I went in with scraping noise on my car knowing my breaks might be over due. They checked out my car and sure enough.they took pictures of the rotors and drums to show me what was making the noise. Turns out metal on metal does. Also my sensors were not working or they would of told me when it was due to replace. Reliable was awesome and replaced them same day! Taking all my vehicles there! Appreciate yall greatly!

The staff here is great! Andrew was very helpful, answered any questions and provided excellent service! Maintenance was fast and prices are more than affordable. This will be my new Go-To shop in the future!

Took my car in for engine light, tires and AC. Andrew helped me out and was really respectful Kept me updated the entire time. Reliable indeed.

I contacted this business as an out of town resident (I live about 4 hours away) to possibly assist my sister (who lives locally) with an AC issue she was experiencing. I spoke with an employee named Jose (Joe) over the phone and explained my sister’s situation and how I was willing to pay for the repairs for her. Joe provided a detailed update over the phone on what the issue was, I paid, and my sister left her car overnight for repairs. Joe informed us the following morning that the original issue was a much bigger problem and unfortunately they would be unable to complete the repair due to the problems stemming from electrical wiring. My money was refunded and Joe provided his advice on what future repairs may be needed. Joe was detailed, honest, and professional. Because of Joe, this place has earned future business from my local family (and non-local when visiting).

I was referred to San Marcos from Kyle due to the too long wait for a diagnostic test. Drove to San Marcos and they were courteous, personable and helped me quickly since I was heading out of town (had a long trip ahead of me). We have taken all of our vehicles to Reliable Automotive for oil changes and other services. Recently we took our Cadillac SRX in to have ac checked and it needed a compressor. As always great service our ac is blowing cold and fast turnaround time. They are honest, RELIABLE, and great customer service. Great job Reliable Automotive employees

I have always had a great experience with the guys over at Reliable! I have been going to this shop for a couple years now, and they have always made me feel comfortable and that my vehicle is well taken care of. I go out of town on long trips and I trust Reliable to look over my SUV and make sure it is safe. If you are looking for great customer service and good quality work, this is the place.
