The worst company every month I received $500 to $650 of bill that is ridiculous. I been leaving in the same house since 2019 I don't know where they get that amount time to switch companies

Wouldn't recommend this for for military, got deployed and stuck with $480 in cancellation fees.

Prices are oddly expensive as well, somehow I used $120 in energy while I was in the field for 3 weeks out of the month while leaving the ac off in the summer.

I've used reliant on multiple occasions. But the last time I had them, I was not treated well. I lived in the same apartment for half of my contract. So then first, when another tenant was trying to start power in their unit, the company they chose for some reason was going for my home instead of theirs. This prompted an alert from Reliant that I had requested to cancel my contract when I hadn't. I immediately contacted Reliant to tell them I was not canceling and to please make sure this didn't happen. They assured me they would stop the cancelation, and that if they couldn't prevent it in time to not worry about the fee, that I wouldn't have to pay it. But then there was also a natural disaster that lead to the weatherhead being ripped from the building. The landlord refused to fix this. Reliant did attempt to make a reconnection due to the previous issue, but since the weatherhead was down they couldn't. I was still reassured that I wouldn't have to pay that cancelation fee. I actually was displaced for about 9 months until I found a new place. When I tried to start power with Reliant again, they told me I couldn't without paying the disconnect fee. I was shocked! The rep I spoke with suggested I could go ahead and pay it to get power started as soon as I needed, and then to dispute it so I could be refunded since Reliant was at fault. So I followed his instructions. But the people in HR didn't call me to tell me what other information they needed until the last day before the claim would be closed. And since I was working left a voicemail telling me this, but not telling me where to send it. So when I got my 2 hour break I called the number nonstop, to only get voice-mail. So I left a voice mail as well. They called me back after my case was closed to provide the information I needed. And when I have tried numerous times to call them back, did not answer. So now I'm stuck in a contract with a company that has done me extremely dirty, and I'm out $300 for things that were the fault of the company. If you can avoid Reliant, do it at all costs.

Mike Kipp has been nothing but absolutely helpful with me for the last two days and very patient, will definitely work with him in the future for all my reliant needs! I love how Reliant takes their customers very seriously, especially Mike and he treats others how he would want to be treated. Mike’s patience and work ethics to help me get everything sorted was above and beyond expectations! Thank you mike!

To my active duty family out there beware! This company is not military friendly and will happily slap a $300 early termination fee on your account when you come down on orders unexpectedly. Expect customer service representatives to be rude and unapologetic on the phone. Expect them to say it could take 60 days to review your case, and last, but not least, “there’s nothing I can do to help you. ” Never again! This type of business practice is unacceptable in a military town in Texas. I’m considering writing the state representatives to ensure this does not happen to other service members who are expected to move anywhere around the world at the drop of a hat.

Scam of a company. They randomly charge you $30 for adjustments claiming that they did not charge you enough on your account per day, but cant give you any information about the money that you supposedly did not pay. They can only send you an email showing the work adjustment and the charge. Then after you’ve been on the chat for hours with them, they still somehow do not fix the “issue” that they were adjusting for previously and charge you another $20 2 weeks later.

Switched my service over to reliant in October while walking through Walmart. The guy doing all this told me I’d receive a $100 Walmart gift card in 6-8wks after my service was activated on 10/4/21. Well it’s now 7months later & I’m still waiting on that Walmart gift card to arrive. I messaged the guy about it back in February with no response either. I feel like it was just a lie to try and get people to switch while shopping.
Also our bills have been outrageously high compared to before with our previous provider so some “savings” we’ve had by switching.

Hated it from the moment i switched (unfortunately i was with them for almost a year) saved more money with prev provider.one month it would be a normal bill and another it would either double or triple with little to no changes in energy use etc.

I just moved in 2 days ago
With lights and a big depost
Only to find out that lady living her left a bill with another company
They shut off my lights
Had to be in the dark for two days
They stay
It take them 48 hours to turn your lights back on So now all my food will go bad
And beside that I am on oxygen
The guy from Reliant told me to go to the er
It's was nothing her could do for me
I hope and pray this helps other

Stopped alarm services with Reliant 3 months ago and still being charge the amount I was paying when I had the alarm. Their excuse is I’m enrolled in average billing. Won’t take the charges down according to the agent I spoke to. Moreover, We had no electricity fir 6 days during the winter storm and I have a child who is autistic and soils everyday. At the beginning of the winter storm the electricity was cut off every five minutes and on for one or two minute. That lasted two days. Couldn’t give a bath to my kid due to frozen water. Everything in the house runs on electricity. Reliant hasn’t owned up. Needed less to say the electric charge was higher fir that month. Their excuse was that the area we live is a rich area. Well we work everyday just like anyone else. All of us in this area are ex military. Had the privilege of VA paying for our school due to military service. We are not rich. While the storm was happening o sent several messages pleading with reliant to please turn the electricity back again. I am waiting on the big law suit because I didn’t know if my son was going to survive. It was bad. Psychologically and physically. He had Covid at the time and no hotel would take us. And he has asthma.

You keep cutting my power off to “save energy”. I don’t pay you guys to save energy I pay you guys to give me electricity. I keep trying to call the company about this issue and you guys don’t answer your phone. You keep cutting off power but what about the people with medical conditions that need power? !? Just saying that sounds like some law suits! TURN MY POWER BACK ON!
