Summary: I hired some one else to a job, a job they did not start but charged me the FULL price for and refuse to refund me.

Story:
I had no hot water and find myself a curious, handy person (former electrician), so I shutoff the power to my electric water heater, shutoff the water. I look for leaks and open up all the panels faces on the heater and do resistance testing on the heating elements, and tank itself. I noticed moisture on the lower heating element and understood that likely was the reason as to why the water heater kept shutting off. I purchased a set new heating elements at Lowe's for the unit i owned, for $35 and wanted to call a plumbing company to see if they agreed with my analysis. Reliant said they'd come check it out but for a fee that if they were to service it would be deducted from the overall cost. Well, they arrived and quoted me nearly 1400 to swap the elements themselves! I go wait a minute, i already have the replacement, i already drained the tank, no way i'd pay you that much, i just bought new elements for $35 at Lowes, this is joke! So we agreed that clearly a new water heater is more "cost effective". Hesitant to the price i agreed to pay them a price we mutually agreed was more reasonable except they didn't have it in stock and i would need to wait another night. They charged me for the service but that same night someone quoted me to do the job for half the price (which really is a more industry average price, so don't even bother calling them) and the following morning i called to cancel. They confirmed the cancellation, and i get a text that the tech is on his way. I called again, confirmed cancellation. The tech gets here, and I asked him why he was unloading or why he'd come if I'd called to cancel first thing in the morning. He said he didn't get this message and once again we called corporate who said it was canceled. The tech got furious and said I was still going to pay him somehow because he didn't think it was fair that he'd gone to my house that morning (their communication problem as I called nearly 3 hours before he came). So he's giving some sob story to back office for not doing anything but wanting the full amount.folks, this is pure robbery! This man didn't even do a thing to assist my tank or replace it and they don't want to refund me? Not only are they obnoxiously over priced, I saw him override the number on his tablet by just tapping the number and adjusting it, so they know they're hyperinflating their numbers and taking advantage of people. Save your money by going else where, save it by paying fair market value and save it because do you really want to find yourself writing a review like this?

Zach was great. I was having plumbing issues and he worked hard to figure out the problem. He even fixed my commode while he was there and noticed I was having low water pressure and suggested how to fix it.

Zach was the technician on the job and he was great! We had a sewage smell all throughout our second floor. We could not figure out why for the life of us. Zach gave us a couple of options as to where/what the smell is coming from. So now we’re in the process of elimination phase to see what the smell is. Thanks Zach!

UPDATED: Beware of this company, always get a 2nd quote. I was charged 2.5k for burst pipe. I made the mistake of trusting them. Should have been a $350-500 repair at most. We were given a small discount to post positive reviews before the service happened. Do yourself a favor, if you have a leak, turn off the main water and wait for a better company/plumber. I talked to other licensed plumbers and neighbors who know this company has a bad reputation. I wish I had known earlier. RUN AWAY

Originally we called Reliant to fix a shower that stopped working due to hard water. When it broke again for the same reason a few months later they explained the original fix was just a bandaid. We opted to replace the shower valve instead. They came and replaced it but they installed the wrong fixture. It didn’t match our other shower fixtures (brushed copper vs stainless steel) and on top of that the hot water barely worked after the new install. Then they became very difficult to get a hold of and began missing appointments to come correct it. Finally someone came and simply left a hole in the wall saying they had the wrong part again. We’ve had to wait at home for them to no call no show multiple appointments and at this point I’m wondering how they can have so many good reviews when our experience has been so bad. Maybe we just fell through the cracks but It’s been more than a week that we’ve been left with a hole in the wall and no shower. They said they would come today but once again they bailed.

I am so impressed with the Reliant plumber that came to my house to fix drains! His name is Zack and he was so easy to work with.
He was so polite and helpful and I would hire Zack from Reliant
anytime I need a plumber! Great job Reliant!

They make customers post review before the service! They charged us 2.5k for a burst pipe that took them less than 30 mins to fix. Beware of being overcharged.

I don't even know where to begin, it's shocking to me to see so many good reviews when our experience was so horrible. Issue #1 was them replacing our shower valve with Delta when we have Moen plumbing. Why they decided this is beyond me. Issue #2 is that they also replaced our shower trim (which was news to us, we though we just needed a new valve, so why replace the trim?) with polished chrome when we have brushed nickel everywhere else in the shower. Obviously this looked horrible and we couldn't accept it. They needed to also replace (and then take our old trim with them?) because they decided on a Delta valve instead of Moen. Moving on.the new shower trim didn't cover the entire hole in our shower tile and when I mentioned this to Justin he suggested we just add a very thick lining of grout. Ok, no. Each time Justin came out he left a bigger mess than he started with. This saga went on from Christmas until the week of January 24th. It took MULTIPLE phone calls on our end to get a hold of anyone at Reliant to figure out what was going on and when we could expect our situation to be fixed. We never heard from them on their own accord and were often met with dodged phone calls and promises of calls backs that never happened. Multiple times we were told someone would be out to fix the problem and never showed. Honestly, I can't fathom ever recommending this company to anyone and it's unfortunate that I am in the home remodeling industry. I had to fight to get our original Moen trim that was taken from us returned back, as we are renting this property and I did not want to have an issue with our landlord upon moving out, just in case. This was such a disaster it's honestly shocking and comical how south everything went. Find another company who won't give you the runaround and waste your time or your dollars.

Reliant had a great response after the recent freeze when all other companies were booked out.it made sense why when they quoted me over $800 for a simple fix that I was able to do myself with $10 worth of parts. When I shared the story with a family member, they immediately guessed what company I was talking about without having given them the name, as Reliant had quoted them thousands of dollars for another small job. Price gouging on this level should be illegal.
