Renaissance Dallas Hotel reviews
14Looks Uniquely like Lipstick. Bad@$$ Hotel tho! Upscale experience, Fine Dining, Lavish Rooms, Room service, Close to Downtown. Staff Accommodating. Need I say more. (?)
Went there for our football state meeting. I didn't stay there. It's a nice facility.
I enjoyed my stay. My daughter and I went swimming after working out. The fitness room has complementary ear buds (for Android) and apples.
Beautiful hotel, recommend going if you are in town for some days. It's in a great location everything is so close and easy to reach. The rooms are very nice. The view is so great. If you are a platinum member you get the breakfast and it's so good and has a verity of things. My wife and I loved the stay and so did my sister and mom.
They don’t honor package rates.
The hotel is comfortable and fairly clean however I booked the “Discover Dallas Shopping Package” which they offer through Bonvoy. They had no idea what it was when I got there. The package includes a $50 visa gift card which they did not give me. They said I would get it from Bonvoy. I called Bonvoy and they said I would get it from the hotel. In the end I am out $50 and had paid more for this package. So be aware that they don’t honor their package rates
Hotel was very nice. Room did not have a microwave or a freezer in the fridge. I was needing to freeze ice packs to store breastmilk so this was an inconvenience for me. There were no pop machines in the whole hotel. Food from the restaurant was very good but quite expensive.
Stayed here for a business conference. It fulfilled the need however I would not stay here for leisure.
Rooms - nothing to really complain about. They were spacious, up to date, nice, functional, comfortable and clean.
Food - there is a bar at the ground floor, which is a bit of a shame given the fact this building has 30 floors and a rooftop bar with a view to downtown would be great. Drinks were great, with a decent wine selection. Staff was nice and attentive. The a la carte food was good, but not amazing. I cannot say the same about the food prepared for our meetings, that was hit or miss, mostly miss though. The food selection did not vary day to day (some meals we had 3 times in a row) and was not seasoned properly. I did enjoy maybe 20% of what was available.
The meeting rooms - mixed feelings about that. Great for large venues, but not exactly suited for smaller groups. They were humongous! Only a few power outlets were available. Rooms were air conditioned to insanely cold temperatures, so multiple people complained. The acoustics were not great either, sometimes it was difficult to hear the presenters as there were no audio techniques available.
Surroundings - without a car I was not able to do anything, absolutely anything as the hotel is surrounded by highways and empty parking lots. It's not the best situated hotel as it's a 15 minutes drive from downtown. However we were 'locked' in for 3 days, so I did not mind the distance, but if I were staying on vacation I would definitely pick something closer to the city.
Service - staff was nice, friendly and approachable. One thing I did not understand during my stay was the 15 USD fee for the internet! I mean what century are we living in?
Overall impression was positive, with some improvements to be made to ensure great visitors stay. Visited in May 2023.
The lobby is beautiful, restaurant great food/ excservice. The room; brick hard bed, super thin pillow, the toilet kept backing up, the door would not open, water dripped all night in the wall.
This review is for a two-night stay in April 2023. The hotel was bustling with plenty of activity from nearby youth sporting events. Staff was pleasant and efficient. The restaurant and bar (also bustling for a Sunday night) was very good and the server excellent.
Rooms were clean, comfortable and stylist. Excellent view of the Dallas skyline! Plus a great A/C, which is a must in Dallas and elsewhere in the south.
If work or leisure brings you to the area, this hotel is a solid choice.
I truly wish I could have actually stayed here, but we have three little children. I did not realize a 3 year old would cause me to have to book 2 rooms. We usually are told it’s fine since she shares a bed with us or sleeps on her own little cot, but this place was very, very strict on it. I was also given the telephone game between hotel and reservations before someone finally told me 3 year old is considered a full person. Which would have been great from the very beginning before getting all my information, not having clear answers (or any answers really), and swapping me between people. In the end, We were unable to book another room, so we went with Marriott downtown. Who were more than accommodating. Im sure it’s very lovely here, but not for families who want to stay together in a room.
The sellers who brought gear to sell at the Dallas guitar show worked especially hard to collect, transport, and display it from all across the country. The gear was amazing, though prices were high, and the acoustics were terrible. The show and the talent of featured music artists were unparalleled. There were amazing deals. Dallas, however, must have had its head in the sand when it accepted the architectural design for Market Hall, where the event took place. The building is attractive, but an abandoned shopping mall may have worked much better. Market hall is like being in a giant echo chamber. But it beats driving to Timbuktu.
Great service nice clean rooms. Great customer great service. Had a great medical educational meetings. We will be back. Best Audio Visual…
This review is strictly for the Mother’s Day Brunch. That I attended on yesterday. I’n not sure if a lot of people know about the Mother’s Day Brunch that the Renaissance does but next year all I will say is take the special women in your life. The best choice for a perfect Mother’s Day brunch.
Yesterday was perfect! Beautifully set up and all the food options where endless. Kudos to all whom played a part in organizing a beautiful well thought out Mother’s Day event.
When it’s travel day I am automatically making reservations due to travel time, traffic, and other factors. This hotel is not far from the airport. Nice hotel I must say. If they don’t have any rooms available I will go to my usual hotel to get some rest. Traveling is fun but very tired on the body. The airport traffic is no joke.
