Texas is a cut above, even their Rest Stops are excellent. The rest of America has a lot to learn from Texas.

I think this ties for my favorite text stop ever. Very clean and nice. Nature trails, a small play structure for kids, and a free mini museum. Would definitely stop again.
The cleanest rest area we've ever been in, the bathrooms were immaculate. The elderly man that talked to me was very knowledgeable and showed me videos of some interesting history and birds
Newer rest area with area museum in visitor center and play area for the kids. Nice restrooms and even a Shelter room for storms in West Texas.
Pecos County rest area was gorgeous. Apparently it was built recently, even smelled nice. I think they used some aromatic woods for the inside doors. Nice exhibits explaining geology of the surrounding area. Definitely worth a stop.

Litterally the cleanest most well maintained rest area i have ever been to. The custodian takes pride in his job and it shows in his work very friendly also definately glad we stopped here
OMG! Beautiful rest area! Super clean! The ladies room smelled like vanilla and chocolate! I actually texted my friends and family a pic of the rest stop and told them how gorgeous it was! I've traveled a bunch and never saw such a clean, well maintained and great smelling rest stop!
Delicious, authentic food with marvelous handmade salsa. Their thin, perfect chips melt in your mouth.
