Revamped Security - ADT Authorized Dealer, Houston TX

Install Tech was very respectful and knowledge as well as patient in answering questions and making sure we were happy with how everything was set up.

Our Technician explained all the in’s and out’s of good and bad security systems. He kept us aware of what he was doing and was extremely likeable. He did not try to sell additional features, though he made a few valid points and I did get one item not on my original plan.

Victor came to set up my security system and he was amazing! Helped me with every single thing I asked and I really appreciate all the effort he put into it.

I unfortunately need to update my review to reflect my experience. During the process, I was told repeatedly that I could get up to 20% off my home insurance for having a security system by the sales manager, Jacob, I was working with. I wasn’t naive, and figured this was an over exaggeration, but that I could hopefully expect a 10% - 15% discount, especially with a more well known home insurance company like Liberty Mutual. This was a big selling point, as the price for the ADT system was about $25-$30 more a month than Xfinity.

Well, to my surprise, I found out that Liberty gives a 0.8% discount (Yes, you read that right. Less than 1%.)

While annoying, I figured I just got unlucky with Liberty. However, I have shopped around since discovering this, and have not found a single insurance company offering over a 3% discount on my home insurance for having this system.

On top of this, I haven’t really even been that impressed with the ADT system. I have had to call about my master bathroom glass sensor repeatedly saying it’s broken when I do something as small as open a door. This has not been fixed yet, though I’m hoping it will soon. I’ve also had issues recently with the system not arming properly from my phone, or the cameras not showing me the live feed when I click on it.

Overall, I am now realizing the sales approach carried out by Revamped was a bit misleading. I am unsatisfied with the ADT system for the price, and would have gone with Xfinity if I could do it over again. Unfortunately, while I have had numerous technical issues with my ADT system, they don’t make it easy to get out of the contract without paying a ton of money.

I really enjoyed talking to the guys I worked with at Revamped, so it’s unfortunate that it turned out like this.

Had the pleasure of working with Corey Barker on installing my home new security system. He was very kindhearted man and 100% loves his job and cares about his work and the customers.

Extremely satisfied, the technician was very knowledgeable, very pleasant, and I have no problem having him to return if needed.

I got the pleasure of working with Dewayne Hunt to set up my new home security system. He was incredibly kind and knowledgeable about the services and products offered by ADT. It’s apparent that he’s not only passionate about his work but also about the safety of his customers. I would 100% recommend.

Manuel was an exceptional technician. Kind, flexible, informative and fast. Highly recommend.

The first visit took something like 6 hours, and the Tech didn't even have a thermostat that worked with the house wiring. Nor did he have a camera for the backyard/pool. He unknowingly blew a fuse in our A/C, which we didn't discover until a few hours later.

Thankfully ADT paid to have a HAVAC company come early the next morning to "repair" the A/C. The Tech was scheduled to return SIX days later, but ADT sent him the next day. He installed both missing items, and claimed to have fixed the "Power Failure" issue on the main ADT panel.

The panel is now permanently dead. The thermostat cannot be operated via the Mobile App. The Google Home devices work fine (doorbell video, backyard/pool camera). All the ADT functionality is useless, except for manually operating the thermostat.

The Tech never cleaned up any of the messes he made, nor did he ever leave us an ADT sign or any window stickers.

Corey was the absolute best! He did everything he could to make sure we were secure, even when our schedules were hard to match up.

So I’ve had ADT for a little over a month now and it has definitely given me peace of mind. They are extremely quick in reaching out to you when the alarm gets triggered. As for the installation, real thorough and professional. My assigned technician Corey has been great in making sure I knew how to operate the system and patient with where I wanted everything installed.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR ANY "AUTHORIZED" ADT COMPANY. ONLY CALL CORPORATE! I paid well over 3k to have a whole house system installed at my new house. I had multiple "ADT representatives" (they worked for Revamped Security, not ADT directly) at my house and each one told me something different each time. They couldn't even install my door sensors properly so my system said doors open even though they were shut and deadbolt locked. The technician that installed the syatem and the rep that sold me the system no longer work for the company so I couldn't get anyone on the phone or at my house. He even said there are no cameras that do audio except doorbell cameras (which is not true). I finally called corporate ADT and a rep was at my house within 3 days and just fixed the system. I am so thankful he showed up and not any employee from Revamped. I will be following up with corporate ADT this coming week since I paid for a year's worth of monitoring (70 a month) when I couldn't even arm my system. This entire experience has taught me authorized dealers are completely worthless and do not care about their service and only profits.

In response: I just found out 2 things from the ADT tech that was different from what your tech told me a year ago. First, ADT does have hard wired camera if the proper cables are in place throughout the home. Second, there are wireless cameras that have audio. I was told by your employees those 2 options don't exist with ADT residential.

Mark Anthony was our installer and we could not have asked for better. He arrived on time- even asked to be there earlier but I could not leave work -he answered all of our many questions and concerns. He was quiet and polite and very friendly! I have two small dogs and he showed them love too. Install was quick, only took about 40 minutes and it was easy and now my new house is secured! Thank you Mark Anthony!
