My favorite salon in dallas, I usually book with Zach and their other stylists seem very skilled too. Not to mention their mirrors make you feel like a model. Lol I love it and it's super laid back and clean.

Where to start. I absolutely love Revel. Adriana, the owner, is regularly present her with pup Paw Rudd. This woman owned and operated salon offers a high-end chic atmosphere where everyone is welcome. Lgbtq+ friendly. You can even pick up your vegan groceries here via Lucky mouth, her newest business venture.

I've followed Chantel here from another salon and to say that she's a miracle worker is an understatement. Because of all of her hard work, I feel so comfortable in my own skin and confident in my appearance. My hair always looks incredible and I get compliments nearly every day. She takes the time to show me products that I'll actually use and benefit from, she's never pushy, and I feel like she wants me to live my best life and look amazing doing it. 100000/10, would recommend.

My review is solely on the salon itself and not a reflection of the stylist. If you value quality over quantity in a salon, then this salon is 100% not for you. If the stylist wasn't amazing at what she does, I wouldn't even consider going back, purely based on customer service of the support staff.

So I book an appt at 5pm for a partial highlight/cut (2 hour slot). The day of, I got held up and texted the salon number that I would be running 5-10 min late, to which they said that was fine. I ended up being able to leave the office on time, only to hit a really bad wreck on the highway. I arrived 20 min late. I literally ran inside at 5: 19 and when I checked in the girl sat me down in the waiting area. It was a good 10 mins before she came back to let me know they could do my cut but not the highlight because I was 30 mins late. Of course I argued that, considering I'd been sitting in the waiting area. I said that I would forego the cut and just do the highlight instead.after all, they booked me for 2 hrs and a cut/dry would take around that 20-30 mins. They said they couldn't do that because someone is booked right after me. I didn't understand, and was getting flustered because this is just wasting more time. The tall girl at the front with the Pixie cut just couldn't care less when I said I had a wedding that weekend and I just needed to work something out. In fact, she didn't even look at the computer to see if there was any time to be rescheduled or try to work out a solution. At this point, I'm getting mad because I can't get my hair done and the girl is just shrugging at me. My question to her was if you have a 20 min limit, why didn't you just rush me back there when I walked in at 5: 19? Her response was "well, you said you were only going to be 10 mins late. " My response to that was "Well, why didn't you call and ask if I was still coming? People are usually driving and can't call or text. " Isn't that the job of the front desk? She of course she didn't have a response. Finally the stylist came over and explained that they book someone else while you are processing, and someone else right after that. So basically someone is in and out every hr and you are overlapping with other customers. Now it is 35 mins late. She pulled out her PERSONAL phone to look at other appts and options. Once again, should have been the job of the short haired girl at the front desk. We couldn't work anything out. I told them to forget it and I left hastily. I guess it's because I've worked in customer service and retail that I get so frustrated with poor customer service, I don't know. But again, I don't hold it against the stylist. She did what she could. Of course, I called Voss Salon and explained the situation and they pulled strings and worked me in with the top colorist that week, because they wanted to keep my business.

So I decided to give it ONE more try this week. I called the salon and asked for the stylist's next available appt in the afternoon. They wanted to book me at 5. I said I can do that, but this was my experience with it last time and it makes me nervous. The girl on the phone seemed a little flustered at my concern and said, "Well, I mean we understand there isn't anything you can do about traffic but we can't do anything about it either. So if you don't want that to happen again, we encourage you to book at a time that you know you won't hit traffic. " SUPER reassuring response, right? I told her that wasn't exactly realistic and that not everyone can just take off of work to go to a 2-3 hour hair appt, which is why I'm trying to book AFTER 5. I didn't book the appt.

So I just decided to suck it up and called and asked for the next available 6pm appt. I'm told that they won't do cuts with highlights that late in the day because that keeps them open later. I can't. I just couldn't. Luckily the nice girl on the phone told me to hold on and she'd ask, before I had a chance to respond. The nice stylist said she would! And now I'm booked. Guess I'll keep y'all updated if they see this and cancel on me.

I don’t get my hair cut or colored nearly enough, but I will say I’ve been here on three different occasions and absolutely love it. I’ve gotten my hair colored and cut by Jennifer Cahill and not only is she amazing at both cut and color, she’s relaxed, professional, easy to talk to, and just overall a fantastic stylist. Safe to say you can bet on her if you’re new!

This is the third salon I’ve tried out since moving to Dallas and I’ve finally found a home!
Chantel has cut my hair twice and she does an amazing job. Brittney did my balayage and she’s definitely good at what she does! These ladies are easy to talk to as well, which is definitely a plus for me:)
Definitely recommend this place.

Absolutely love this salon. Brittaney is a color genius & Sofie is a cut genius. Also, big disagree to the review below saying the owner values the dog over customers. If the dog goes toward your bag, she always gets him away from it. Super respectful about it! Also, the salon is beautiful.

Her (Brittenay Price) phone = more important than my hair. I was there for almost 4 hours getting a balayage and cut and she spent approximately 2 hours actually working on my hair in between talking to the other stylist Hayley Johnson, texting, snapchatting and finishing another client.

At the beginning of the appointment she asked me, "Are you tender headed? " I replied no, because I'm not but that was a HUGE mistake. She did not pay attention to what she is doing and my scalp was sore for WEEKS.

Not to mention I walked out paying over $350 and I COULD SMELL MY BURNED HAIR FROM HER USING HER CURLING IRON ON TOO HIGH A SETTING!

It's a big deal for me to spend that much money on something, especially my hair and this was a horrible mistake. My hair feels awful, it doesn't even really look like what I was asking for and now I'm just sad I wasted the money.

The salon owner values her dog over the customers in the salon. The dog will dig in your purse and is bothersome. The owner is very vocal that if you don’t like the dog- you can leave. It is unfortunate because the stylist are really sweet.

I am new to Revel Workshop but I was very impressed my first time in the salon. Its so bright and open, very fresh and vibrant. I have been going to Chantel for close to 10 years now at another salon and am more than happy to follow her to Revel Workshop. She has always been able to give me the haircut I want and make it look even better than I imagined. She knows my hair, how to work with it, and always recommends products that meet my personal hair needs. When I get crazy and want to do something regrettable to my hair she is honest with me about the process and what will look good and what will look not so good. Chantel is more than the person that cuts my hair, she is an artist that takes genuine interest in her clients and their hair goals. I can't recommend her enough, she really is the best!

The space is super sleek and gorgeous. Zach is the most amazing hairdresser I’ve ever had and I feel so lucky to have found him. Bonus: paw Rudd is the cutest salon dog ever!

I'm essentially reviewing my experience with the one guy who has always cut my hair. His name is Zach and he does a great job for a reasonable price by Dallas standards. The people working the front are always nice too and offer you coffee or other drinks while you wait. It's worth checking out if you live close to the design district.
